Today I want to talk about something that is around us every day, yet we rarely think about its depth and scientific wonders: trees. I have had a deep relationship with these green friends since childhood. Today I want to share some stories and scientific analysis of that relationship with you.

When I grew up a little, I needed to think about trees differently. Earlier, I only thought that trees meant shade, fruit, and green beauty. But gradually, when the environment around me started changing, the heat increased, and the wind became heavy, I realized that we rarely give these trees their true value. Now, as much as I can, I read about trees, search for them, and try to understand on my own what these silent green companions actually do for us.
Trees provide us with oxygen, which is the most important thing. We all know this. But when I studied "Photosynthesis" in school, I first realized what a huge job trees actually do. Trees make their own food from carbon dioxide in the air, and also give off oxygen, without which we cannot live. When you think about it like this, it seems like trees are the free oxygen machines of the world, but we don't take care of them.
Is the work of trees finished just by providing oxygen? Not at all. I learned that trees keep our air clean. Trees absorb so much smoke, dust, and car exhaust in the city, creating a relatively clean environment for us. It is not visible to the eye, but when I go to an open field or a village and I can't breathe, my mind feels light and my head stays cool.

Another thing I have realized for myself is that trees reduce heat. Walking on the paved roads of the city feels a bit hot, but standing under a tree cools my body. Scientists say that it is not just shade, but trees also draw water and release it into the air, which creates a kind of natural coolness. This is called Evapotranspiration. Without trees, this hot world would be even more hot. I like it very much, trees hold the soil together. During rain, the soil collapses in mountainous areas or open land, but with trees, this does not happen. Because their roots hold the soil firmly. I think that trees are not only friends for themselves, but also for the soil. When I heard that trees bring rain, I did not believe it at first. But later I realized that it is actually science. When trees pull water and release it into the air, it creates clouds, and then rain falls. Trees play a big role in the water cycle. Without them, the water in the ground would decrease, and drought would increase.

And yes, trees often act as medicine for us. I myself boil basil leaves and eat them when I feel cold. My mother used to feed me, now I know there is a reason behind it. There are some ingredients in the leaves or bark of trees that help us prevent diseases. Many medicines are made from trees. Let me tell you an interesting thing: when I am sad or my head feels heavy, I go and sit next to a tree. I just sit. After 5 minutes, I feel like my mind is a little lighter. Later, I learned that being around trees produces certain hormones in the body that help improve the mind. This is not just a myth, it also has an explanation in science.
The most surprising thing I learned is that a large tree can absorb about 20 to 25 kg of carbon dioxide in a year. This thought keeps going around in my head. If we all plant a tree, what a huge benefit it can be. I myself have now kept a few trees on the roof and balcony. Even though they are small, I consider them my responsibility and take care of them. Finally, the more I read about trees, the more I understand that trees are not only the beauty of nature, but also a scientific blessing. They work silently, protect us, and do not ask for anything. So now it is time to be grateful to trees. If we plant trees and save trees, then nature will also save us. This is my belief, my thought, so far, I will be good.
This was such a peaceful and hearwarming read ☘️💚 I like how you shared both personal memories and real science -it really shows how connected we are to nature, even when we forget. I didn't know about evapotranspiration in such detail and the idea of trees being medicine for the body and the mind really stuck with me. It's amazing how much trees do for us without asking anything in return. Thanks for sharing this
Reading your words really filled my heart. I wanted to create a space of feeling by weaving my own vision, experience, and knowledge together, and it feels good to be touched by you. To be honest, nature gives much more than we do, and asks for nothing in return. If these thoughts spread, that would be my greatest achievement.

Thank you very much..
Trees are really there to make our world a much more better place to be and thanks that we live in the era of nature. Sometimes I usually imagine how our world will be without nature or take for example trees in our surroundings
These words touched my heart, thank you for saying them so beautifully.
