Today I want to discuss a very important subject and that is smoking. Although we know of its risks very well for most of us,we do not really know how dangerous it can be. In today's conversation, I will make available to you all the scientific aspects of smoking, the effects it has on the body and how it harms our health slowly, slowly. I hope that this information will help in heightening awareness and in the personal lives of people.

The use of cigarette and tobacco is now a solicitation in society which not only applies to an individual, but to the whole society. In spite of the fact that smoking has become a usual thing people do nowadays, there are a lot of people who simply are not aware or even suspect the dreadful health hazard that lurks behind it and for them it is unimportant. Others do it to relieve mental stress and again they start out of curiosity. However, in the long run, the tendency turns out to be a severe addiction.

Tobacco is the primary component of the cigarettes and it has a chemical compound known as nicotine. Nicotine is a drug, which causes stimulation of dopamine hormone within the brain and provides temporary pleasure or calmness. However, it also causes addiction to people. Once an individual has gotten into the habit of smoking, the body gets so accustomed to the habit that he cannot be able to work normally without nicotine. Toxic burnt out A cigarette smoke has set in excess of 7 thousand chemicals with at least 70 cancerous ones. These are substances such as carbon monoxide (reduces the oxygenation capacity of blood), tar (compiler in the lung and leading to cancer), ammonia, benzene, acetone etc. These gasses do destroy the important body organs slowly.

Smoking harms the body of humans in many ways. Most affected are the lungs, the heart, the teeth and the skin. Smoking increases the chances of lung cancer, heart disease, stroke, asthma, tooth decay or premature degeneration of the eyes and the skin. The fertility of many men goes down, women are also unable to conceive. It even interferes with the growth of the unborn child.
Inhaling of smoke by those surrounding a smoker leads to harm too. This is referred to as secondary smoking or sideline smoking. The smoking indoors, cars or offices has the biggest impact on the family members, mainly children and pregnant women. They end up having shortness of breath, pneumonia, bronchitis and asthma.

‎A big number of individuals view smoking as a way of relieving stress temporarily. Others believe that it would cheer them up or be able to mix with their friends easily. However all this is temporary. In fact, cigarette smoking damages internal organs of the body, makes one weak in reasoning and can only be associated with destruction in the long term. There is therefore no good side and there will be harm.

‎I have not smoked personally, however smoking has taken away a loved one in my family. He used to smoke cigarettes and finally developed lung cancer. His chemotherapy, treatment, and anguish were so excruciating that I made up my mind that I never want to smoke until I am dead. This experience made me learn a great lesson and in case of cigarettes it offers no joy, but deprives all joy in life.

Most of what I know about smoking comes directly out of my experience and some YouTube and other social media videos. The facts and the actual happenings and the views of professionals there have brought a distinct notion in my mind. And so I have told you those experiences to-day. Thank you.

If you have any experience with smoking, please share it in the comments, I'd love to hear it. 😊
