Living Fully Without Chasing Everything at Once

I've listened to countless amazing speeches that talked deeply about life and why it's just so okay that we let it go at it's own pace because we can never gain all no matter how hard we try. I think one thing that is causing this irony of life to be on a cycle is that, we humans never feel satisfied with what we have or can achieve, we want more.

In the course of wanting more, we neglect the simple but big reasons life holds meaning to our lives. I'll say many of us even try so hard to make our lives revolve around whatever we decide to give meaning to, wealth, power or fame. It's sad to realize this as a Christian that these are mostly what won't count for us after death, really sad.

But it is what it is, humans are wired to make things good for themselves, even at the cost of what they might have overlooked like health, family and time. Breaking out of that is what the few who have cracked the code are enjoying and appreciating how the irony of life can change depending on what one decides for his or herself.

Why do people only realize after they've lost the simple but important aspects of life? That question is very subjective because every person has their reason for not realizing soon enough and while it's sad, it is not avoidable for many because it goes down to how well one can discipline the already wired brain to act different.

I don't know about everyone else but I do have this spot for people who are yet to figure out their lives to understand that these simple things of life are worth living for instead of pursuing things that would fade or not save us at last. I wish I could be in the front of a crowd of humans to state just how important this is because I've realized it and I'm choosing to live life that way.

It's tempting to want everything else that will take our life away from what matters especially time but if we really want a happier, calm and slow paced life that's well rooted in God or nature, we would have more to celebrate than the wealth or fame we are pursuing. It's even funny because some who crave for attention (fame) or wealth (money) don't know how to handle it when it comes and that's because they failed to actually live at their own pace and learn as they go.
