Being Good Means Choosing Better, Even After Mistakes

This feels like a continuation to what I shared hours ago in another post, about fulfillment that is subject to each individual and their perceptions. The same for who we call "A good person", it varies depending on what another see as good. I believe every single thing in life is viewed differently by every single human being.

And that makes me believe the quote that says, "People may not remember what you did, but they will always remember how you made them feel". I find that thought to be a very powerful one and it goes to say that, people can tell you are good when you make them feel good. I'd say that should be the most important tip to define good.

Personally, I think of a good person as one who remains kind, trust worthy, reliable, generous and positive even in the presence of bad behaviours, bad people or bad morals. Good people are hardly contaminated by the bad going on around and it doesn't mean that they are always good. They just always find a way to be good again.

So simply put, a good person is one who continues to strive to be good even if he or she messes up at some point in life. That means, even someone who has made serious mistakes can become a good person too. Being good isn't defined by a singular action but by a pattern of actions. Does good more than bad? That's good.

I would have shared stories about good people I've had in my life but that will be a long route to the same fact I've shared already, good people are everywhere but many fail to see those patterns because of a singular action where they made a mistake, serious or not. I'd like to think every human has the good and bad side in him, we just choose which to show more and it creates the pattern to be called good or not.
