This kind of feeling is something I've experienced a lot; at times I just sit and wonder what exactly I'm doing with my life, especially if I see some others doing really well and living the life. Most especially if they are now friends or age mates. I see them get very good and well paying jobs, some into very lucrative businesses, and a lot more, and then I look at myself; it just seems like I'm in a position and I'm barely making progress. And even though I know I'm doing my best and am not lazy, I still feel something about it.

And one thing I've come to realize in life is that comparing myself to someone else, comparing my journey to that of others, would steal my joy and peace of mind. We all know and do say life is not balanced, and that is just the truth. Life is just different for everyone; some have it very easily, while some don't. Some need to pass through different stages of life to pass and achieve greatness, while some do not even need to stress, and other times, even those we admire and look at have even had to go through a lot before they could arrive at what they are now, and we won't know it. We're only seeing their results and not what they've had to experience too.
Also, life is not a competition; the fact that someone has made it and is living their lives to the fullest doesn't mean I've failed at mine. They'd say life is turn by turn too; it is just their time and turn, your turn and turn, turn and us coming too. What I find myself doing these days, though, is to walk close with certain people and try to see what I can learn from them. Aside from that, I'm always happy when I see someone making progress or achieving anything; their good news shouldn't be bad news to me because I know I will be sharing mine very soon too, and I won't want anyone to feel bad about it as well.

I'm still a work in progress; I still have a lot to do, a lot to learn, unlearn, and relearn. So, we should always learn to celebrate others' wins and be genuinely happy for them while still believing in ourselves too that one day, we will get there.
