My Journey to Web3 - Fears and Triumph

Hello friends, welcome to my blog. This week #scifimultiverse prompt is a beautiful experience that I'm happy to share today. 5 years ago during my service year, I knew some guys who did stuff with their laptops, I didn't really know about crypto so my friends and I always tag those guys as scammers because they seemed to be doing better than others guys in our set.

After service, I came back to Lagos and was introduced to a web3 crypto platform, which I still regret till now. I invested a large sum of crypto currency, which was supposed to grow, and then we will be getting rewards. It wasn't even up to a month before it flopped. I didn't receive a dime, and I invested $200.

Then, just in 2024, I got a call from a friend telling me about a platform she has been into for a year now. She's been making money and would want me to participate. I told her about my past experience, and she assured me that this particular one called metamax is real. I thought about it for days and then discussed it with my husband. My husband didn't like the idea because the rewards were too juicy, gotten from watching mere videos. I didn't listen, since I had money, I decided to use mine. I called my friend that I was ready and I invested 350k in fact she wanted me to take the package of almost a million but I insisted on starting small.

After the whole registration and payment, I couldn't sleep. I was just waiting for the said 7 days to get my first rewards. On the fourth day, stories started flying about it crashing. I almost had high blood pressure (HBP) because I didn't know how I was going to face my husband.

Well, a few months later, in the same year, I got to know about #hive through a friend who is also a Lagos local guide @beauty197. She explained to me about the platform that we can create content, engage with people, and earn. When I heard crypto, I didn't feel good about it because of my bad experiences. She convinced me, and because she was someone I trusted, I knew it had to be legit, and besides, I had nothing to lose since I didn't need to invest any capital in it.

I decided to give it a shot, and I got to hive through the #spendhbd project and got my first cashback from @distriator after shopping from @bokku-mart. Since joining Hive, I have expanded my knowledge, learning from others who had been on the platform for long, I also read blogs from people with details about the platform and I ask my local guide for assistance when I encounter any problem.

I'm happy knowing about #hive, and it's been a beautiful journey so far. Hive has taught me that web3 platforms are real and legit. A lot of people don't just know about it. The lesson I would like to share with others is not to give up on web3 because of bad experiences. They should be willing to give Hive a chance, especially since they are not investing anything, so they literally have nothing to lose.

My favorite web3 platform is #hive, and I love the blogging aspect. This gives me the opportunity to share my ideas, experiences, and my cookings (I love to cook). My journey on Hive has been an amazing one, and I'm excited about it. That's why I don't fail to participate in any activities that would help promote #hive and #spendhbd project. A good example is that of #hiveposh, and everyone should participate in it.
