To be honest, i have never been administered any vaccines before, but despite that, I strongly believe that vaccines are very important. I believe they play a powerful role in protecting both humans and animals—from various diseases. The way I see it, vaccines help the body build immunity before the real threat comes, and that’s something I find really impressive.
As an agriculture student, I’ve had firsthand experience with this, especially when it comes to poultry. In our practical sessions, we regularly administer vaccines to chickens to prevent them from deadly viral infections like Newcastle disease and even Avian influenza. Now,from what I’ve observed, these vaccines are very efficient. The difference is always clear between vaccinated birds and those that aren’t. The vaccinated ones tend to be healthier, stronger, and more resistant to diseases, which proves that vaccines truly work. In fact, most of the vaccines used for humans today were first tested on animals to check their effectiveness and safety. That alone tells you how vital animals are in scientific research and how important vaccines are in general.
Now, thinking back to the COVID-19 period, there was a lot of confusion and debate around the vaccine. I remember hearing people say that the COVID-19 vaccine wasn’t effective or that it caused more harm than good. Till today, I still don’t fully understand why some people felt that way, but I suspect it had something to do with misinformation and fear of the unknown. Even in my own family, my mum went for the vaccine, and afterwards, she said it didn’t sit well with her. She felt unusual body pains and even fell sick a few times. At first, we were all scared, but then we realized those were probably just normal side effects that some people experience after vaccination. Still, it made me understand why some people became sceptical.
Another rumour that went around back then was that people were being given vaccines for malaria instead of the COVID-19 vaccine. I personally believe that was just superstition and nothing more. It sounded like one of those made-up stories that spread easily during times of panic. I don't think there was any solid evidence to back up such claims, and it's important not to let fear override facts.
In the end, I still stand by my belief that vaccines are crucial. They have saved lives for decades and continue to do so, whether in humans or animals. I think what we really need is more awareness, better education, and trust in science.
Thanks for reading.

It was when you said both human and animals that grabbed my attention, some of the stories were actually not true because I mean it's human we are dealing with.
Yes vaccines are really good for our body. And you're right about how you said animal's who are given vaccines tend to be more healthy and strong than those who don't have any vaccines in their body. I also heard about the rumours doing the Covid-19 period that the vaccines are not good that they cause more harm than good which to me was just rumour so that people will refuse to collect the vaccines. Thank for sharing.
I also took the covid vaccine but that was when the rumor had died down. Some people even said that it makes iron like spoon to stick to the spot forever. 😂. It is well.
I can relate to that of the animal vaccines and the importance
Thank you very much.
Yea, it's crucial to the existence of human not matter what people say about it. Thanks for sharing.
It is very important regardless of all the superstitions or rumors that maybe surrounding it.
Yes ooo
I have also seen people that haven’t been vaccinated since they know their right from left but saying you have never been vaccinated before feels wrong. Most time we are vaccinated when we were babies but the truth is as an adult, yeah we can say that because we have never gone to the hospital for it. Also I remember taken vaccinations when I was in school through the mouth when I was still very young in the 90s
Then I love the example you have with the chicken which shows that you understand the very importance of vaccination as an agricultural student. This is very educative.
Ooh yeah i didn't even think of all that. I actually remember the young age vaccination now. Thanks so much bro
You’re welcome sir
It is surprising that you have never been administered a vaccine before. I remember how my mom would take my siblings and I to the immunization center. Well, I'm glad you are aware of the importance of vaccines.
I actually have but i just didn't remember it was during those time when i was very young. I actually haven't just been administered a vaccine since i became an adult. It was just a mistake thank you.
Vaccine is really important to us, but most people have their superstitious beliefs about it
