Omoo, seeing this prompt brought back childhood memories that I thought I had locked away in the deepest part of my brain. LOL . So, do I believe in ghosts? Short answer: No. Although as a child, I used to, and I won't lie, it made childhood a bit terrifying.
📌 Backstory
As a child, I always felt like what my dad can do I can do it also. I am sure a lot of male children can relate to this. My dad would come back from work and then we would sit together to watch horror movies. After enjoying the 2 hour thrilling movie, my dad will go and sleep peacefully but me on the other hand will start battling paranoia and I often don't get enough sleep or even sleep at all.
I remember in the night when my parents send me to get something for them in the room or in the kitchen, I literally run to get it and quickly get back to where everyone is to avoid ghosts from taking me to their lair.
💪 Man Had To Man Up
I realized that I was getting older and couldn't bear the shame of still trembling cos of the fear of ghosts. It all started from shifting my mentality and convincing myself that ghosts don't exist. It was just my imagination going wild because of the horror movies I had been consuming.
When I feel like I am being watched or something feels weird in the house like plates falling off and the picture being hanged on the wall falls off, I don't immediately assume it is ghosts. I critically look at what could have caused that strange occurrence and then correct any mistake or remove the catalyst behind it.

I would have called 911 but I don't think I will get saved in Nigeria here, LOL. I don't believe in ghosts but if I were to save myself, maybe I'd pray or throw salt around the house, I heard salt casts away bad omen. I hope I don't never have to use it, LOL.
