“In three words, I can sum up everything I have learnt about life: it goes on.”- Robert Frost.
While you are whaling and complaining about how life is being unfair to you, someone is on an island, enjoying the best time of their life. While you are struggling to pay bills; whether your landlord just gave you a quit notice and you are struggling to pay your children’s school fees or maybe you just got paid off from work, another person is somewhere splashing millions of dollars on a brand new BMW or a private jet. One thing I have realized about life is that whatever phase or situation you are going through, life goes on. Life wouldn’t stop just because you just lost a job or you are struggling to pay bills. “Life has an interesting way of pulling its strings.” I came up with this quote a long time ago. It captures how life throws challenges and unexpected turns, yet also brings moments of joy. One moment, you are feeling on top of the world, and the next moment, you are back to square one. You are forced to question reality and might be even forced to ask the usual question, “Why is this happening to me?”
For this week’s Sci-Fi Multiverse prompt, the community asks us to share a situation when you were low, but things changed, and you got back to the top and also a time when you were enjoying success, but something happened that brought you down to square one. In life, anything can happen. Whenever someone falls from grace to grass, don’t look down on them or make jest of them because that same thing can happen to you. It can actually happen to you ten times over. I know of so many people who were doing well in life, but all of a sudden, life catapulted them to rock bottom. On the other hand, there are also people who were in square one, broke and poor, life shone its bright eyes on them and they made it in life.
My third year in uni was stressful. There were so many books to read and so many PDFs to cover, but thanks to my study group, we had night classes and tutorials, which really helped me. Exams came knocking and as usual, I put in my best. I was bent on coming out with good grades. Those times, sleepless nights were nothing. They became a usual thing. First semester results came out and I did really well. I got commended by some of my lecturers. My coursemates were shocked when they saw my grades. I was proud of myself and I was happy that my hard work finally paid off. However, the second semester result wasn’t as good as. Despite my hardwork, I didn’t get the grades I wanted. Of course, I passed all the courses, but they weren’t enough to get the grade I wanted.
Years ago, something happened to me. That year was the most terrifying year of my life. Someone who I loved with all my heart left. It was terrible. The days dragged by slowly and nothing felt right. I thought I wasn’t going to come out of that phase, but somehow, God helped me and I did. I came out of that difficult situation and started soaring high, again.
This is my entry to the Sci-Fi multiverse prompt for week 29. The topic is: Navigating the ups and downs.
Thanks for reading.

I like the quote, life goes on whether we have ups to deal with or downs it just goes on.
Life goes on bruh, we will always rise
life goes either with the ups or the downs.
thank you for sharing.
I can relate with the struggles of uni days, they were quite tough but we conquered
The uni struggle part really is definitely related , because I know how it feels to work so hard and still not get the exact outcome you wanted. But like you said, both the highs and the lows are part of the journey.
That's life bro we are can't be certain of what the situation or outcome will be we just keep pushing through no matter what

Life will always go on no matter what, one person dies now and same minute another person is born.
Burial is held now and that same minute wedding is celebrated, so life definitely goes on.
