Time is limited

Humans are intelligent and because of their intelligence they are known as the best creatures on the earth but at the same time they are the worst creatures on earth also. You may also agree with it. Because of intelligence one human is supposed to understand another very well but, in reality, we can see the opposite scenario. In my opinion I think I am no creature as shameless as humans. I am saying it means I have reasons behind it. I am saying it because humans are the ones who can summon me for the help and after receiving the help they forget the kindness or efforts of the helper. Let me share about my incident for better understanding.

In the earlier days I was not so calculative and when it comes to helping others, I used to help them without thinking twice as long as I was capable of helping them. I didn’t refuse others if they asked for help even if I was busy or exhausted. I used to think that they were my own people and helping them when needed is one kind of responsibility. In my eyes all the surrounding people were my beloved, but they were actually not and that reminded me how foolish I was. I didn’t understand that they just became close to me when they needed any kind of help.

As time started to be busy as with growth my responsibilities increased and naturally, I have little time for myself. In few cases, I didn’t manage time for some people when they asked for my help, and I indeed felt bad about it, but those few people trusted me, and they started to blame me for not helping them. Their behavior was like I promised them to help and betrayed in the ending time. It didn’t end there. They spread the news to my other relatives that I have done that intentionally. I became speechless about what to say as it was not the truth.

They were those people who received my help for various reasons and only for not able to help one time they turned against me, and it was unexpected to me at that time. But they gave me a life lesson, and it was that people can be turned against you if you don’t act according to them. I realized that because I helped them all the time and they are too for granted. Instead of being grateful they dared to blame me for not helping them. I guess they took me some kind of puppet why would act whenever they need help. So, somehow it can be said that they used me for their benefit and for the sake of bonding I didn’t hesitate to help them. I was indeed wrong.

I didn’t face such a situation once. After facing situations several times, I figured out that helping people is quite exhausting and with my limited time I can’t go like that. Moreover, most of those people never appreciate me for the help and ready always to blame me. So, I came to decision that not to help others and say no when someone asks for help. At the beginning time it was indeed difficult for me to refuse but with time It became easier to me and I can give many excuse. Sometimes I can be rude also now if someone insists too much. I think I left the mentality to help others easily. Unless someone very close to me asks for help, I don’t help. And in case of any other people I directly say no because I actually don’t care now what they think about me. They didn’t appreciate the help of me and rude behavior with them is something they actually deserve. And in that way, I can save myself from getting exhausted or wasting my precious time on others. I need to focus on myself and doing that is not bad in my opinion.
