Some people say that money is the reason for all evil and some people say that money is the real strength and it can solve most the problem of us. It does not matter what people think about it, everyone needs it and everyone is chasing it desperately and there is no doubt about it. The dream of everyone is to become financially free, which means reaching in such a state where they don't need to worry about money to survive.
The poor want to earn money to make their financial condition improve. At least that amount that can support them to fulfill their hunger and other basic needs. On the other hand, rich people want to make more money because they want to be much richer than their position and they want to secure a good amount of money for the next generation. In fact, the poor people also do the same as the rich people if they become rich anytime. Whatever the reason, rich people are supposed to live a good life without worrying too much. But in reality, rich people also struggle a lot even financially. Many people used to know why they don't see them struggling. I think it's because they are good at maintaining their profile, otherwise we don't care too much about their difficulties, or we don't understand about their difficulties specially when we are not in their position. Let me share my thoughts related to it.
I don't belong to the rich category. There are many people around me or close to me who belong to that category, and they have shared few things with me, and that's why I can understand their issues a little bit. First, I want to talk about their expenses. It says that when someone becomes rich their expenses increase automatically as their desires increase. When someone can fulfill a desire, they naturally go for it; it isn't necessarily something they need. They become used to such a lifestyle that later it's indeed very difficult to not live their life in that way. So, whenever there is fluctuation in their earnings, then they need to go through financial difficulties.
When poor people suffer a little it's a great loss for them and they need to struggle and for the rich people it's also the same. Suppose a poor person invested $100 and lost 50% of it and lost is about $50. But when it comes to rich people, they invest a thousand dollars. When they suffer 50%, it's a loss of $500. So rich people's investment is quite high. So, when they suffer loss, it becomes a huge loss, and if they get the profit, the profit is also huge. And if they are not careful, they are bound to suffer loss. But, in that case, rich people have the advantages to diversify their investments to reduce or minimize the risk.
I think there is an issue with most of the rich people, and it's their mindset. I think most rich people are not ready to lower their self-esteem in front of others, even if they are facing any financial difficulties. I believe that accepting that facing financial difficulties or having a hard time is normal and there is nothing to hide it from others. It's not something like they are losing their dignity because of their difficult time. Because of that kind of mindset, the difficulties automatically increase a lot, which could be reduced.

Interesting point of view. Everyone has their own risk appetite when it comes to investing. But yes, rich and poor respond to their losses differently.
