These days we rarely say that word compared to how much I hear people say it in the past. The word, “KARMA”. This is a term that is often used to indicate that someone is suffering from something wrong they have done in the past that they thought they have successfully avoided. Personally, I believe that whatever we do, there is a reward for it, whether good or evil. And I believe this might also be where that word karma was coined from. Truly, no one will escape the consequences of their actions. We will have to suffer for it whether or not we did it by accident. And the worst part? Others can suffer for it too.
This is one reason why before we do anything, it is always best to think well about it first because there is always a consequence for all our actions. Even that harmless joke. A lot of times, people keep thinking that they can run away from the consequences of their actions after they have repented. So they go ahead to do a lot of evil before they fully accept Jesus Christ in their lives to be saved thinking that they will be able to avoid the consequences of their actions only for them to still face it later in life.
The idea of karma is just like a girl who was warned by her parents to keep herself before marriage but she thought she was smart and always used protection but unfortunately, she got pregnant and she repented because she finally understood why her parents kept advising her to stay away from sex before marriage. Now, she will no longer want to have anything to do with that action but that won’t take away the fetus growing in her womb except she wishes to commit another evil which will also come back with its own consequences later.
Her parents didn’t chase her out of their home but that won’t stop her from bearing the weight of the choice she has made. And that is karma. At first, it seems like we are winning and we are smart but then, our rewards lies ahead and we can’t avoid it. This actually reminds me of a story in the Holy Bible about a nation who was signed off to death by the king. The king didn’t know the effect of the agreement he has signed on that particular nation and as a king, you can’t remove your seal from an agreement. So when he realized what he has done, the best thing he did was to sign another agreement that gave that nation the freedom to fight for their salvation.
This is to say that sometimes, some of the consequences of our actions might not be completely taken away but we can receive a lesser penalty for our actions. And that could be because of a good deed or someone else’s good deed. Which also tells us that, the consequences of someone’s actions can also affect us even if we weren’t the perpetrators of that action. And likewise, our actions can also cause karma to affect people around us too.
We have to always think about others before we act. Even if we don’t love our neighbors enough, we should think about the effects of our actions on our loved ones. Sometimes the consequences of our actions might be suffered by them even when they know nothing about it. So we should always try as much as we can to not only live for ourselves but also live for others especially the ones we love. Karma truly exists and there is no running away from it. Even if you run away from it, it might be that the consequences of that action you committed is not for you to suffer but someone else.

The consequences for our actions are not always taken away completely, sometimes we have to a price no matter how small.
This is the most concerning thing about karma for me.
Like you said, let's learn not to live for ourselves alone. It is selfishness that makes us do some things not thinking of others who it might affect.
And yes, our repentance can't take away the wrath of karma. It doesn't care, you surely reap that which you sow.
Nice images by the way.
This is truly a call to be mindful of what we give to the universe because we might pass the mirror, but somewhere, down the generational line, an innocent soul might come into this world to pay for something they have no idea of. Even the Bible says, that God will inflict punishment of ancestors on their children, up to the third and fourth generation.
I have learned my lesson, and I know I better steer well in life, not only for me, but for generations to come.
Thank you for the wisdom shared❤️.
