Our weather and seasons vary in the various locations we find ourselves on the face of the earth. Even within a country, different states have varying weather and climate, like in my country. I guess that's the beauty of geography; providing and accommodating several weather and climates even within a geographical description. In the sense of the world at large, it's a bigger subject. We can attest to that by the different seasons different parts of the world experience.

Weather, in a way defines/directs our actions and decisions. When the weather is hot, we streamline our clothes to lighter ones, we stay hydrated, we use more fans and air conditioning and more, to keep us comfortable in such weather. And when the weather is cold, we know better to use thick clothes, fans and air conditioners become less useful, the need for hot water, for bathing especially arises and many more actions by virtue of the weather.
Seasons define time and activities within a year. For a country like mine, there are two seasons-rainy and dry seasons. For the most part, we till the ground and sow during the rainy season, which is something that characterises this season well. In my part of the country, rain in the supposed and expected period is a call to go to the farm and make the necessary efforts for a future harvest. That harvest comes in the dry season. The dry season ushers in its own defined activities. This is when people harvest and gather the crops planted, and prepare again for the next rainy season.
It's kind of a cycle; from the agricultural perspective at least. This is one sphere well defining of seasons well. Even though we know how weather works in accordance with seasons, it could still take us by an unusual and unexpected arrival. This can be when a season comes late or early, stays overdue or leaves earlier. Last December to January this year, we experienced different weather here. Normally, we're meant to experience what we call harmattan-a period characterised by dry wind and an unusual level of cold. But, it was different. The heat before this period was still there.

For me, it was very uncomfortable, considering I don't blend well with heat. I've heard that it has been raining since early this year in other parts of the country, whereas, it rained only once or so here. Somehow, I wish for the rain to drop. I don't like the heat period. Hopefully, by March we get to start experiencing the rainy season here, which goes down to September or October, sometimes into early November. Afterwards, we go back to the dry season again. Such is the cycle.
We're not left out of the climate change issue. Is a thing that affects us all. I think this calls for an intentional effort to see how our activities as humans do not affect our ecosystem, which leaves the climate torn, and the effects overwhelming us. Heat seems to be on the increase with time. There's a temperature rise, and other effects as a result of climate change caused by human activities.
I also don't blend well with heat and I am even considering getting another fan.
That'd be nice.
Thank you for stopping by.
I don't enjoy the dry season because of the heat, it kills me.
Good to see it isn't just me.
Thank you.
You're right about that sir, most of this changes can really be traced to human activities.
I'm never a fan of the heat period too.
Thanks for sharing
💯❤️
Very well.
Thank you sir.
The hotness these days is one that even a fan sometimes blows hot. The climate has really changed, and this has really pushed the rain forward to some parts of our country. Leaving everyone open to guessing game. What amazes me is the way rain rushed in this year. It has not happened. Thank you for sharing.
