Life is said to be unpredictable. More or less, it seems true. As much as plans and preparations make for an expected result, it could end up otherwise. We've fallen at one point or another in life, while at some points we were high on what seems a pinnacle of our success or achievement. It's one of the paradoxes of life. However, with all the ups and downs, and unexpected occurrences against what we might have planned, we still push on to live and succeed as each day goes by.

Sadly, life seems to be full of the negative. Or perhaps pictured in that sense, especially when you come from some part of the world like mine. That's another story. But then, there's always good in life. Something good to look at and know there's more than the negatives, and be appreciative of these good things, moments or events. Having a positive view of life is necessary. Maybe more than ever because the things we find happening today and the systems that push them seem to be more than ever.
Someone said you have to learn to be happy yourself, not waiting on others to make you happy. The world we live in is full of negatives, which seem to be the major stories, but that shouldn't stop me from seeing life in a positive sense. I've learnt to be happy beyond my situation, in most cases. Before others make me happy or the world does, I draw it from within, from fellowship with God and from being appreciative with rather great optimism. I feel this is one of the best ways to live out one's life.
We'll always live in negativity if we don't learn to be happy beyond our external happenings. For me, this is why I try to live beyond the influences of the world, social media and so on. It may seem as though life has been a roller coaster ride for me, but no. There have been hitches, issues, concerns here and there which were overwhelming at some point in life. Here's the thing though; having this positive view about life doesn't exclude or excuse the negativities, it just says, “I know you're there, but I chose not to focus on you.”

One important thing I've learnt in life is that what I let my mind focus and feed on becomes my disposition towards life predominantly. So, rather than complaining and being all pessimistic, I see the reality but stay away from being consumed by perceiving life in that sense. As a result, I try to maintain as much as possible a cheerful spirit. I'm grateful for having a close group of friends who share the same mindset and view. And when people see us being all that jovial and happy, they think we must be okay in every sense. Funny.
Whatever the case, seeing life in a positive view, beyond but not denying the negative is something I've come to abide by. I think everyone needs to learn to walk life this way. Not because I do. But because the world is busy; eveyone is trying to get through things, and you have the responsibility to yourself to be happy, to focus on the good things, to see the opportunities, beyond the worries, obstacles, barriers or likewise.
