An Alien Encounter

First of all, I must say that the recent prompts coming from this community have been deeply Sci-fi connected. No doubt, the prompts have been giving a Sci-fi feeling, and causing me to tap into such areas. Well, this is Sci-fi Multiverse, it shouldn't be strange or surprising then. Let's get into this one.

I've watched a couple of movies about the subject of aliens. The movies have tried in their best ways and intuition to depict human encounters with aliens, and what they could look like. While I might not be the best fan of such movies, their presentation of such a situation, which we know are work of fiction leaves some things to consider, especially concerning what this prompt presents.

Say, I came in contact with an alien, what would it look like; would I be terrified of it or not, would it feel terrible, would I keep it or make it stay back, or would I send it back to its planet? Pheeww! A lot of things to consider here. Since I'm yet to come across an alien; in the sense of beings from a world outside ours, I guess the portrayals from movies that depict such could be a good way to go or approach this.

Even if the movies didn't make the human subjects terrified of these aliens, I would feel that way. I mean, these are beings that are totally different from other humans like me. Seeing something like that, perhaps in my backyard, garden, room, or compound wouldn't have me all comfortable, with legs crossed and arms wide open to welcome this unknown being. Especially, as portrayed, their structure and figure could look awkward and unrelatable, except they look like humans.

So, first of all, it would seem terrifying. I might need to retract, get a hold of a metal rod or a pestle, or a good stick to keep the alien away. I know it might not do much but I can't just stand and watch. That whole period would be for observation as well. If it could speak a language I understand and vice versa, then we would communicate. If it can't, then we might need to find a common ground, if I perceive it isn't harmful, of course.

I would say hi to it and ask its name, where it's from, what its purpose on earth was, and how it landed on my property. These answers are what could determine whether I consider helping it, keeping it or not. I'm not sure though if I might want to keep such. Except if iit was a kind of cute, nice-looking being. Chuckles.

Otherwise, when the answers aren't looking good or the conversation isn't adding up, I might just need to raise an alarm or send it back to its planet. Here's my concern, what if the alien could be a harmful being? Wouldn't that mean bad for me, and others as well? But what if this being could be a nice one? That could be of benefit to my world. Maybe then, it depends on the outcome of the encounter.
