Procrastination is dangerous stop it
Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. This is another day in the #inleomonthly prompt. What important thing has procrastination cost you?
Procrastination is my biggest disease. It is one habit I try my best to deal with. One thing about when you procrastinate is you are putting out important things and engaging yourself in things that don’t matter. I have delayed many opportunities that came my way; in the end, I felt guilty most times, and it depressed me.
Every human procrastinates; it has really become a challenge for many humans to fight the spirit of I will, which is procrastination. It is not always easy to fight procrastination. Most times procrastination ruins opportunities for us. I will always ask myself why I am procrastinating important things that will shape my future. It pains me most times that I always allow procrastination to take away nice opportunities from me.
If there is anything my late dad hated, it was the word I. He always told me that I should stop procrastinating things for my own good; when I got to realise that procrastinating was bad, it was already too late for me. because I have missed out on opportunities.
After I graduated from the university, my elder sister called me that their company was employing fresh graduates and that I should apply with her. My chances of getting the work are high; she sent me the link for me to register.
It is always in my mind to apply, but I keep telling myself that I still have enough time to register. I keep procrastinating. After two weeks, my sister called me to know when I will be writing the exam. That was when I remembered that I hadn’t registered later. My sister was so mad at me that she cut the call and called my dad.
She was so angry that opportunities order people are praying for that i allowed it slip my hand every member of the family was so bad at me my sister swear that she will be give me money since i allow the golden opportunity slips my hands her anger was that all her effort is now in vain because she have start putting words for me so that it will really be easy for me. But i disappointed her.
That period was not easy for me. I felt guilty; I couldn’t stop blaming myself for allowing such an opportunity to slip through my hands, but there is nothing I can do. I cried when I realised that I missed that opportunity. That company really pays well, and there are many allowances that their workers enjoy. Procrastination really ruined my future.
I learnt my lessons in a hard way since that day I said bye-bye to procrastination; I stopped procrastinating on things. No matter how good procrastination may look, it is very bad.
How I was able to stop procrastination
I set a deadline.
I avoid anything that will distract me.
I manage my time effectively.
Procrastination will do us more harm and ruin many opportunities for us.

I have also lost a job opportunity due to "I will do it later". The thing with procrastination is that it can likened to a toxic relationship. And while we know it is detrimental, we can't help but indulge every now and then.
