Mistakes Are Lessons Not Verdicts. Let Us Guide And Love Again

SHOULD MISTAKES DEFINE A PERSON

Hello #scifimultiverse, Happy Midweek. Trust your day is going well. Welcome to my blog.

There is a popular proverb that says, " Every mistake is a lesson, not a life sentence”. This has become vital in our daily lives today, as humans have become so judgemental. Nobody or a few individuals want to temper justice with mercy, while others believe that giving people a second chance is a waste of time.

Every good person has a past; it can be good, bad, or even ugly. On the other hand, every sinner also has a future; it can also be good, bad, or ugly. We ought to always look back and let go, knowing that sometimes life comes in turns.

So, when I lost my resources to a scam on the Hive blockchain, a blogger tagged me and others affected, in a post and claimed that we fell for the scam because of greed. Upon seeing the post, I was pained and humiliated. I lack words to explain my feelings, but I was completely broken. I never expected such words from the blogger, considering the person's wealth of experience.

All efforts to convince the blogger fell on deaf ears, so I decided to braze up and tag all the accounts from which my resources were swapped. The account owners, except the major culprit, came and denied having anything to do with the transaction. At some point, I weighed the options of continuing that back-and-forth with the blogger, and it was breaking me more, so I ended the discussion to enable me to clear my head and find my rhythm.

Friends, it was an innocent mistake, if there is any word like that but the blogger refused to give me a chance to learn from the mistake; rather, a continued bashing on how greediness cost me all the resources. At that point, I started digging deep with the assistance of some MODS when I found out that those who fell prey to that scam were many, including very experienced bloggers.

I believe I deserved a second chance because I was still new to the blockchain then and was still learning and unlearning. Again, I strongly believe that the scam happened to guide me and put me on alert to safety and conscientious blogging. A second chance would also put me on a learning spree because mistakes and failures are the best way to learn and make fast progress.

Additionally, that event taught me to appreciate MODS and pushed me to upskill my abilities in staying safe online. It taught me scrutiny and paying attention to details at any opportunity that is thrown my way.
Lastly, it completely changed my view of life and increased my level of empathy and solidarity. This is because I used to think that carelessness and negligence could only lead to scams until I fell prey.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope to see you again.
