Floating Islands Sound Cool... But I Am Not Moving

The idea of the world having a floating island is a big dream! But if something like that ever exists, only about 0.01% of people will be able to afford to live there.

That small percentage would be the wealthy, people like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and others, because I believe it would cost a fortune to leave land and start living on a floating island.

Just like we have rich people living in the best places on earth today, it will be the same with a floating island. And honestly, that is normal. It is what makes it special, because if everyone could access it, it would lose its value.

If money weren’t a problem and I had to choose between living on land or on a floating island, I would still choose land.

Here are my reasons:

First of all, a floating island would have limited resources. It can’t have everything in abundance like land, and whatever is available would be more expensive due to transportation and logistics. The Island would lack so many things which would make life boring for those there, unless humans are ready to build there, and this would take forever cos no matter how hard they try, it can't be like life on land.

Secondly, I don’t plan to live my whole life in isolation on a secluded island. I want to be around family, not just my wife and children, but also my siblings and their families, and my friends. The short time I have on this planet must be spent well with my loved ones.

Lastly, there has to be some disadvantage. Being in such a unique environment could affect weather conditions, which might impact health.

Honestly, I don’t even see something like this happening. If we call it a “floating island,” it means land suspended on water, which still feels impossible, at least for now.
