I have always envied people that are able to follow eating schedules. Imagine eating as early as 8:00am and waiting for as long as 6 hours before eating lunch, then no more food until night. I also wasn't always like this, when I was in primary school, after breakfast, we could only eat at lunch break and the school closes by 4pm so I'd have to wait until night before eating. Growing up, I began to notice that my stomach wasn't having any of that again. I couldn't go a few hours without eating something, I would eat breakfast by 7am and eat my second breakfast at 9am. At some point, it started feeling like I had a black hole in my stomach.
One thing I'm happy about is that I do not have any allergies. How do I know? Well, that's because I've eaten most things. Although I have foods that I don't like, I'm not allergic to them and the number one on this list is beans. I've always disliked beans since I was little but I could still manage to eat it until a few years ago when beans was the cheapest food you could find on the market. Other foods were very costly and money was tight then, so we ate beans almost everyday. Eating something too much can either make you love it as much as anything, or make you hate it with passion. Well, beans took the wrong way and now.... I dislike it so much that I'd rather go the whole day without eating anything than for me to eat beans.
Some years back, I had always thought getting your stomach full was the only way to survive. I couldn't do without asking for seconds when eating, especially if its rice. I would eat as much as I can only for me to get hungry a few hours later. It wasn't until I traveled to my aunt's place, they were the type to follow eating schedules and well, it was more like torture for me. But after eating just a little bit of rice, I couldn't even finish the extra large fish that was given to me. I was surprised at my self, I wasn't even able to eat anything till the next day. It was then that I knew that quality beats quantity, but having quality food in good quantity is a bad idea too.
Different people have their different feeding habit and its best to not compare yourself to people. I also wanted to change before, not being able to follow eating schedules has caused me a lot of problems. I cant hold my hunger for long or ill feel like I'm about to pass out. When I was in school, my food never left my bag, incase of necessity. If it came to it, I would even eat when teachers are teaching. I got caught once, but that once almost cost me everything. I couldn't beat my food addiction, I mean, I'm human after all. so instead, embracing it is the best I could do.
This is my entry to the week 9 scifi-multiverse prompt Eating habits.

Hehehe 😃, you sound like a foodie 😍..to the extent that your food never left ur bag.. indeed food is life
Unlike you, I love beans 🫘 so much from childhood till date. Infact, that's what I will have for lunch today 😃
Just like my bro, I wonder why people like beans though 😅
Our feeding habits varies, but all that matters is that we actually eat.
Thats true.
