Setting Priorities In Finances

I was talking to a friendsis this evening about finances and how our so-called little spendings turns out to be huge expenses at the end of the day. She mentioned how they recharge prepaid unit everyday at the rate of 10,000naira which they see as nothing but not until when they calculated it on a monthly basis before they got to know how much is actually been spent on electricity at the end of the month.

The thing is that we don't actually take note of our small or little spending which at the end of the day, they become significant amounts that affect our finances if proper budgeting is not done.

Financial stability is what we are meant to be on the look out for and our simple habits matters if we actually want it to work out.

A friend told me someday that he dare not call a soft drink seller, aiming to buy from his business money cos those are things that makes a business go to ruins eventually and this is actually the truth cos what's the profit on a business actually that a boiled groundnut or chinchin seller won't be able to pass by in peace unless you buy and have a taste from it.

From my end, I ensure to avoid unnecessary spendings. If it is not compulsory then the purchase is not happening and if it is something I can navigate through with alternative means then my outflow is on a pause. This has helped me in managing my expenses because I place priorities to my purchases.

Truthfully, some of these daily expenses are even important for our daily activities to run smoothly but at the same time we need to spend wisely, monitor our outflow expenses so that we can have a secured and safe future financially.
