Time as a factor in human existence is really important, and as a factor, we need to be concerned with how we get to spend it. Time keeps ticking around the clock, and gradually it's all going.
The fun fact about time is that it comes and then leaves us. Nothing more than that. It's kinda surprising that despite how essential time is, we still have a lot of people who don't know much about their time management.
I watched a movie, and there was a quote I had stuck in my brain for years since I watched it. It says, “You cannot change the hands of time no matter how hard you try. And you can't change what has happened no matter how much you cry”.
The very moment I got to understand how important time is was when I realized that the past won’t ever surface again. The childhood days are long gone, and it's gone forever. I have never seen someone who chooses to reverse their days, maybe to just rectify some past mistakes.
Though there are times when we won’t be capable of controlling what time has for us. We just get to allow things to happen. Time has its energy on its own. The best we can do is to just try to manipulate timing to our satisfaction.
An example of how we can’t manipulate time was when I was done with my secondary school and I was seeking admission into the university. It's not something I could rush, but I wanted to change my environment. I wanted to be with my mates and not waste my time at home.
I tried my first entrance examination and I failed. I knew I would have to sacrifice another year again. I don't know how to go about the whole year; that would be wasteful. So I tried to enrol as a school teacher to assist myself financially.
The next year came by again, and I had to sit for the exams again. I didn’t fail, but my results got withheld… I almost cried out of my eyes. I felt I had wasted two years out of my existence. But still, the most important thing was to make sure I don't have it wasted totally. So I enrolled in a tutorial training at least to keep my knowledge in check.
The last time I sat for the exams. I passed and got admitted to the university of my choice. I was so happy that I forgot I already wasted three years seeking admission and ended up failing. Just one success changed it all.
I came to realize the essence of right timing. It was the right time for me to be admitted, and I did. The right timing wouldn't have shown up had I relaxed after the first trial.
Time and procrastination are two things we have to battle with. If you feel there is time, then procrastination will set in, and then time will surely not wait for anyone. But battling against procrastination will make one utilize their time well and also give meaningful existence to their time.
“Checking time is a waste of time”.
Hehe. This is a common slang we've gotten used to, and it's just the reality of life. Why don't we just get whatever we want done that very moment and not even think there is time? There are times when we think we would have the future to do things and in the end we won't even have the time to get to those things anymore. That's how important time is and shouldn’t be taken lightly at all.
The past is gone, never to return what we can do is decide what we want our future to be like by utilizing our time spontaneously.
The past is long gone and there is nothing we can do other than to learn from from it.
