The Day I Hoped Will Never Come

Greetings, everyone!

I will keep this post short, as everyone has their own emotions with Splinterlands.

In the first years, I never missed the chance to buy new packs. I've been a Maverick, a Champion, a loser. At a certain point, my collection was worth $128K. Since then, I continued to accumulate cards and SPS, till I reached this point where I can't continue anymore. Greed destroyed this game, and, if not already, it will not take long to erode the community.

Conclave cards are another hit in the face of early investors (like me). Promises of Alpha or Beta cards growing in value were untrue. Chaos Legions are removed from the Modern, joining Alphas, Betas and Untamed in the pile of dust.

There are no more free-to-play summoners (renamed to archons) usable in the Modern format, and the low rewards in the Wild format are far away to make any attempts profitable; a seasoned player can hardly earn the cost of the fees to join the season.

I'm powering down my SPS, and I'm stopping to play.

All hopes for better times are lost with me.
