[TV] Redo Of Healers _ Revenge Or Just Cruelty?🔞

I saw Redo of Healer, it was recommended by a fellow anime lover, and what I seriously didn't expect was the dark, darkest fantasy that it contained...

Okay now , so before you go check this one out, just know that it is NSFW , and I am not even saying that like casually, no ..... this anime comes with a very strong content warning because it does contains sexual content, violence, abuse, torture and some really disturbing scenes, even the official anime website warns that it contains stimulating content.

Now that we have gotten that out of the way, letz us talk about the actual anime, Redo of Healer, which is also known as Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi, is a dark fantasy revenge anime that follows a young healer named Keyaru and when I say healer, don't just think of the normal anime healer who stays behind everybody during a battle shouting, i will heal you! , Keyaru's healing ability is actually much more complicated than that...

So at the beginning, he is treated like someone whose only usefulness is to healing other people, but because of the nature of his powers, he is exploited and subjected to horrible treatment by the people around him, but eventually.... after everything he goes through, he gets the opportunity to turn back time, and this is where the whole story changes.

Instead of simply going back and trying to live a peaceful life, Keyaru decides that he is going to redo everything, but this time, he remembers everything.

He knows who betrayed him...
He knows who abused him...
He knows what is going to happen,
.... and most importantly, he knows exactly how powerful his healing ability really is.

So basically, the guy who was once treated like the weakest person in the room comes back with all the knowledge of his previous life and decides that everybody who wronged him is going to pay, and honestly, this is where the anime becomes complicated for me, because I understand the idea behind revenge stories... I have watched plenty of anime where the main character starts from nothing, gets betrayed, becomes stronger and comes back to deal with the people who hurt them, but Redo of Healer takes that idea and pushes it into a very dark place.

There are moments where you understand why Keyaru is angry, you understand why he wants to get revenge, you even find yourself thinking that okay lol , these people really did terrible things to him, but then the revenge then itself becomes so extreme that you start questioning the person he has become....

At some point, you are no longer just watching a victim get justice, you are watching someone who has decided that he is going to become the person everyone else should fear, and that is probably the most interesting thing about the anime for me.

Is Keyaru actually getting revenge, or is he simply becoming another monster?..... The series has 12 episodes, and it originally aired from January to March 2021.

Some of the major characters include Keyaru/Keyarga, Flare/Freia, Setsuna, Kureha, Eve and Norn, the story also involves heroes, demons, magic, kingdoms and the Demon Lord, so underneath all the controversial material, there is actually a proper fantasy world and storyline, but one thing I will give the anime is that Keyaru is definitely not your typical anime protagonist.

You are not watching a perfect hero who always chooses the morally correct thing, see in fact ehn , sometimes you are watching him and thinking,
Bro... are you actually okay at all ?...

And that is what makes reviewing this anime difficult, because there is a difference between saying that I enjoyed this anime and saying I agree with everything this character does, those two things are definitely not the same, for me, Redo of Healer is one of those anime where the story itself makes you uncomfortable, but that discomfort also gives you something to think about, because how far can someone go in the name of revenge before they become exactly like the people they hate?

And can revenge really give someone peace, or does it just create another reason to keep hurting people?, I don't know if I would recommend this anime to everybody because, seriously this is not a casual anime night recommendation.

But if you are someone who enjoys very dark fantasy, revenge stories and morally complicated characters, and you are old enough to handle its extremely mature content, then you will definitely have a lot to say after watching it.

As for me? Hmm....

Let's just say the person who recommended this anime to me definitely needs to explain themselves....

Would I watch something like this again? Hmm... let me breathe first....
