[TV] My Take On The Secret Circle.

I don't even remember exactly how I stumbled onto The Secret Circle but I remember that once I started watching it that I wasn't going anywhere, there was something about it that pulled you in fast, Like within the first two episodes you are already having questions that you needed answers to and the feelings about the characters you had just seen, that kind of grip is not common at all, A show either has it or it doesn't and this one had it completely.

The premise alone was interesting enough, a girl loses her mother the. moves to a new town, finds out she's a witch, discovers that there is a whole circle of them already there waiting for her. It sounds like something you have heard before and maybe you have but the way The Secret Circle told it felt really different, here was darkness underneath it that kept you slightly uneasy even in the quieter scenes, you were always waiting for something,And usually something came.

The characters carried the whole thing too, Cassie's journey was easy to follow in this series, but it never felt predictable, The circle dynamic ...... six people bound together, their power tied to each other, whether they liked it or not, it created this tension that ran through every episode, and nobody was fully safe, nobody was fully trustworthy, and the older generation, the parents with their own history and their own secrets, added a layer that made the world feel like it went much deeper than what we were seeing, see there that's good writing, that's a show that knows it has more story to tell.

And that's exactly what made the cancellation so painful, like really.

When I found out they were not doing another season I was genuinely angry, not just disappointed, but very angry, because the show had spent an entire season building something, Laying foundationsz Introducing mythology and backstory and character arcs that were clearly going somewhere, and then it just stopped, just right when things were getting to a point where the next season would have been also incredible, The kind of cruel cliffhanger energy that assumes you are coming back and then doesn't come back.

That's not fair to the audience.....

It's really not, people invested time into that show, people got attached, and the least a production can do when it has earned that kind of loyalty is to see its own story through, One season is not enough when you've written a world that obviously has three or four seasons living inside it.

A lot of people felt the same way that I did, The Secret Circle had a fanbase that was vocal and real and also frustrated.

here were petitions, there were campaigns, people were not quietly accepting this cancellation and also moving on, they were loud about it because the show deserved better and they knew it.

The sad part is it affects how you look back on the whole thing, i can't rate The Secret Circle the way I would have if it had been given the chance to finish what it started, because a story that doesn't have an ending isn't really a complete story, it is just a beginning that ran out of time, and no matter how good the beginning was and it was genuinely good that incompleteness sits with you.

I would have given it so much more rating, I would have talked about it differently, I would have recommended it without that small hesitation that comes but when you remember how it ended....Or rather, how it didn't.

The Secret Circle deserved its full run, It deserved to be everything it was setting itself up to be.

And we deserved to see that happen.

The name sounds interesting but sad to hear about as no more seasons, that's truly unfair like you mentioned to the audience. This shows one thing for sure that it's worth watching and keep the viewers entertained.
