Last day I started to watch 'Yash Raj Films' new film Alpha, and the same old Bollywood tradition came to my mind. A tradition which Bollywood has been repeating for a long time. I am sharing a detailed review of this film in the light of my personal experience...

While watching the first few minutes, I felt that this would also be a story based on the same traditional Bollywood script. A script, Bollywood have been using to attract their local audience for years. Anti-Pakistan narrative and an atmosphere of traditional hostility. Initially, the story seemed quite straightforward and predictable. For a moment, it felt that perhaps this film would simply rely on the old recipe instead of presenting any kind of new intellectual scenes.
As the story progressed, the director may began to tighten his grip. The initial slowness and predictable style soon seemed to turn into an extraordinary suspense.

The twists and turns in the plot, the hidden motives of the characters, and the suspense made the film interesting. Alia Bhatt and Sharwari Wagh handled the action scenes with seriousness and effort. The entire middle part passed so quickly that the initial boredom turned into curiosity about what was going to happen next.
The middle progress of the film was quite thrilling. But as soon the film entered in its final stages, the story returned to the point I had initially guessed. The ending turned out to be the same traditional formula, which showed the triumph of conventional cinema over realism. Nevertheless, due to the fluidity of the screenplay and the high-level technical production, the ending did not harm the overall effect much.
Although the film Alpha is not a new film in terms of story nor is it free from traditional Bollywood politics. However, as a thriller film, it forced me to watch it till the end. The balance of action, sound design, and suspense makes it a must see.

Apparently, it's a predictable movie that follows the usual cinematic formulas. However, I can see that it served as a distraction for you and, after all, it did its job of entertaining you for a while.
