[Movie] Three Women, Secret Identities: "Charlie's Angels" Review

I finally got an old action movie to share from my old release watchlist, a movie that had been recommended to me over 10 years ago but I didn't get to see it until yesterday. I think I heard a lot about this movie but nothing about what the story is really about. I believe I'm not the only one who had another expectation by it's lovely title.

I think that's the first thing that caught my attention when I started the movie, it was very unlike what I had imagined it to be and it's in a more interesting and intense way. A story that reveals double lives and how deep it can be for one to hide another side the world doesn't know.

"Charlie's Angels" is a movie released in the year 2000 starring Cameron Diaz as Natalie, Drew Barrymore as Dylan and Lucy Liu as Alex. The movie is directed by McG and covers the genres of Adventure, crime, thriller, Action and comedy. You can already bet it's a fully packed storyline.

There's not much to the storyline actually, to tell as a brief story for this review but I'll say it's about three ladies who are acting as investigators under the authority of a man called Charlie. The three appear to be beautiful with brains but are spies, fighters and into many missions given to them by their master, Charlie.

The story begins with them successfully completing a mission, assigned to track down a kidnapped software engineer and figuring out who had kidnapped him. The story slowly unfolds to reveal truths they had never imagined or planned for but as smart as the ladies are, they find a way out by defeating their opponents.

Personally, I understand that it's an old movie but the action part of it wasn't as intense as other action movies I've seen before. But I like the surprising transformations the three ladies show on every mission move they take especially with their middleman, Bossy. The attires were so cool.

Like my mum, I kept commenting on how smart Natalie is in her role as one of the three. We could actually tell where each of the three ladies were good in and predict who would sort out a problem at some point in the story. To think that I've seen Natalie in another movie where she wasn't as active as this, made it more interesting.

The movie is a good one really and I'm guessing a lot of people have seen it long before I did. Even though it's an old movie, I had a nice time seeing it and I'll recommend it if you're yet to.
