[Movie] "Pitch Perfect" Review: Music, Chaos, and Real Fun

I can not believe this movie is almost 14 years already, I mean, the first part of the story of Pitch perfect. There are sequels that came out later through the years but if I am being honest, I remember more of the first part than the sequels that came after. I'm not in anyway saying the sequels were not good, I just liked the first more.

I remembered the movie while I was thinking of musical movies I've seen and I decided to review all the Pitch Perfect movies from 1 to 4 alongside the other franchise I plan to review too. I think one of the good side of seeing a franchise is how surprising the story can get from what was imaginable in the first, it happened in this one.

"Pitch Perfect" is a teen comedy and romance musicals, released in the year 2012 starring Anna Kendrick as Beca, Brittany Snow as Chloe, Rebel Wilson as Fat Amy, Skylar Astin as Jesse and Adam Devine as Bumper. I specifically mentioned those names because they are the characters that made the story more memorable.

A story about The Barden Bella, an all-girls acapella singing group thriving on pop songs and their perfect looks led by Chloe. A disaster happened in the last finals and they had to recruit new female singers, one of them is Beca who is an independent inspiring Dj lady with no interest in the college life but her voice brought her out.

The all-girls group have a rival, an all-boys acapella group with Jesse in it, who later falls in love with Beca and they both discover more about themselves as they go about giving their best to their group for the upcoming competition. Even though she faces oppositions from the leader, Beca brings in new sound and looks to The Barden Bella that is known for only one look.

The chemistry between characters in this story is more chaotic than beautiful but what makes it interesting to see and I mean the "Beca/Jesse" and "Fat Amy/Bumper" chemistry through out the story. I especially laughed so much watching Fat Amy being fat Amy no matter how serious matters got to be, finding love was a sweet twist.

Everything about the first part of this movie before the sequels are amazing... The songs, the outfits, the comedy, the twists, the romance, the vocals and even the competition itself where things unfold unexpectedly. I always love to watch musical competitions and this movie gave me the entertainment of that kind quite well.
