[Movie] "Pitch Perfect 2" Review

I knew I would have a nice time on Pitch Perfect 2 but I didn't expect the turn outs of event in the following storyline. I got surprised in most parts of the story, especially how they got into a scandal that almost ended the Bella girls group. The bounce back, the new intake, the final performance, all were just on point for the fun.

First of all, I did not expect the shock and laughter I had in the first scene. Like the story took off from a very embarrassing moment right in front of Barrack Obama, the president of the country on his birthday. I don't think I was shocked as I am now back then when I first saw this part of Pitch Perfect. It is totally needed part.

"Pitch Perfect 2" is a comedy and romance musicals, released in the year 2015 starring Anna Kendrick as Beca, Brittany Snow as Chloe, Rebel Wilson as Fat Amy, Skylar Astin as Jesse, Adam Devine as Bumper and for this sequel, a new character is introduced, Hailee Steinfeld who played as Emily. She contributed to save Bellas.

I liked a lot of the difference in this story, starting with how the new competition coming up they had joined to price themselves after the scandal, pushed them out of their comfort zone. Considering the fact that I know Americans have never won in the competition before made the wait, the performance and results worth seeing.

I will not fail to talk about Fat Amy who still carried a lot of the humour for the story. Her comments sometimes always surprises me and her personality didn't fade in anyway, she remains Fat Amy. While Beca's struggles made her character feel more real as she is growing beyond joining the Bellas for the competitions.

I've said this before in my review on "Pitch Perfect 1" that I love their riff-offs but I must be honest, the riff-off scene in this part was more intense and fun to watch even though the Bellas didn't win it. Them not winning it got them even closer and look deep into themselves as they go on a retreat that reshaped their outlook on things.

And finally, their final performance in this part is one of my favourites from all performances in Pitch perfect, first to last. The feature of the song "Flashlight" felt so good, I learned about that song first from them before I got to know who the real owner of the song is. Over all, this second part was very much needed and cool.
