[Movie] "Love Finds You In Charm" Review

I do hear the saying a lot in movies that, "Love finds you in unexpected places and when you least expect it" but for someone who is still hoping for such a love as a human to human, it still feels unreal. I know love exist but I also think love can always be there but we just don't see it.

I saw this movie yesterday and it reminds of the fact that we could have love with us all along and miss it until the universe being so kind make us realize and embrace what we've had with us all the while. It's a movie that's just soft, calm, cinematic and peaceful to see, nothing too tense or serious, it's just vibes and beautiful chemistry.

"Love Finds In Charm" is a romantic 1 hr 32mins movie released in the year 2015 starring Danielle Chuchran as Emma Miller, Trevor Donovan as Noah, Drew Fuller as Andy and Tiffany Dupont as Kelly Bennett. It's a movie that tells a story of an Amish girl, a tribe I just learned from the movie.

The story begins with an Amish girl called Emma, who seem to have a perfect life, beautiful with a loving family and most eligible young man in the community who wants to marry her. But she thinks her life deserves more than just getting married, especially to a guy she doesn't see as partner but a brother. She accepts an offer to go help her widowed cousin at her farm at Charm during the busy season, hoping she would find herself so she breaks up with her fiance, Jacob.

Emma arrives at Charm and is excited to explore the world outside of Amish but a lot still feels same, her Amish cousin, Amish friend, Noah. Except for her new Englischer friend, Kelly who she met at a library. They hit it off to being good friends and then she meets another Englischer who loves her cheese, Andy and she begins to feel excited for what she would learn from him while dressing like an Englischer. Only to realize and learn of the life that she truly wants sooner.

My personal thought about this movie is first of all about the Amish tribe, their attires, their beliefs that are against the Englishcers and the unnecessary chaos they make the ones who don't believe what they believe, feel. It reminds me so much of racism and religions that forget to guide one to not feel like monsters just because they're different. They did the opposite to Emma.

Another thought that came to me at the end of the story is that, what she had been looking for have been with her but she was too blinded in finding herself and it got me wondering if maybe we are searching for what doesn't really matter but we force ourselves to believe that they do matter until we're faced with them unprepared.

The movie was nice but I think the message it sends is very simple but too unnecessary to me, it promotes discrimination until the very end. Still I had a good time watching the love chemistry fly between the main characters, I don't recommend.
