[Movie] "God's Not Dead: A Light In Darkness" Review

I've been on the movie "God's Not Dead" that has four sequels, I've just finished the second one and here is a review with my thoughts on it, especially the lessons exposed to viewers. First of all, I like that some characters are consistent in their roles and every storyline teach a lesson.

"God's Not Dead: A Light In Darkness" is a sequel to "God's Not Dead (2014)" and "God's Not Dead 2 (2016)". It was released in the year 2018 starring David A.R. White, John Corbett, Benjamin A. Onyango, Samantha Boscarino and other supporting characters. The story in this one explores loss, value and law against Christianity.

The story begins with Reverend Dave Hill (starred by David A.R. White) so happy to announce to the church that Reverend Jude (starred by Benjamin A. Onyango). They've been really good friends and Jude is the positive vibe person who always reminds Dave of the goodness of God with a smile. It got exciting to see them work together.

Sadly, the appointment of Jude was shortlived as an incident occurred that took his life few hours after. The story takes us back to 12 hours before where it revealed another character Keaton Young (starred by Samantha Boscarino), a student in the Hadleigh University who breaks up with her boyfriend because of their faith clashes.

Out of anger and frustration from the heart break, the guy goes off to the church hall in the school and throws a rock that breaks the window, opens a gas and runs off. Jude was unlucky to have gone inside and it exploded on him, he dies and Dave is left in pain but the worse happens, the school is removing the church from its premise.

With no time to mourn his friend properly, Dave begins to find ways to keep the church afloat in the school premise and he pushes himself to visit his estranged brother who is a lawyer for assistant to win back the church from the school. They go through quarrels, face their pasts and struggle together to win back the church.

Confusion, anger and uncertainties comes up when the cause of the accident surfaced, he confessed to Dave but was condemned first because Dave couldn't control the pain of losing his friend and had an outburst in a public space. Even though the guy got a long term sentence at first, Dave soon forgave him and pleaded for a lesser punishment on him since it wasn't intentional. Dave understands soon what the Bible meant about being a light to the world.
