Yesterday, I shared a movie that had a "10" in its title, today I'm doing another movie with the "10" in it again but it's a completely different storyline and I'm a bit of sad and also happy to share my review on this movie because of a fact I learned of after I was done with the movie, the male lead is no more and he died at a very young age, sad!
I'm happy because it's a movie that was surprisingly interesting but I think it explains why it was also at a top list of movies in their times of release and it was why I downloaded it alongside the one I shared review on yesterday. "10 Things I Hate About You" brought to the screen a feel-good coming-of-age romance comedy in 1999.

Kat Stratford (starred by Julia Stiles) is not among the likeable personalities in the new school, she's the opposite of her independent free spirited sister, Bianca Stratford (starred by Larisa Oleynik). Both are under an over protective father who finally agrees to let his daughters date on the condition that Kat starts dating first.
Considering that Kat doesn't have the best kind of relationship with her fellow students, she is seen to be grumpy, quick to anger, annoying and inconsiderate to what people think or say about her... Her father believes it would be difficult for his daughters to start dating with the condition.

Cameron James (starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt) on the other hand have just started the school and on his first day, he sees and falls in love with Bianca. He soon learns that he can't date her until her sister, Kat starts dating and he decides to find a match for Kat to get her dating and be free to date Bianca. The plan felt good and it kicked off.

This is where Patrick Verona (starred by Heath Ledger) comes into the picture, as the perfect match for Kat because he is popular as a guy who had been to a prison before, rugged and doesn't care about people's feelings like Kat is. At first, he didn't want to do it but he got on board by Joey Donner (starred by Andrew Keegan) who is also interested in dating Bianca just to hurt Kat.

Well, the plan didn't go so well at first as Kat seem resolute on her decision to not even look at a guy, get entangled with anyone but Patrick got the perfect way to get to her, through the things she holds so special to her life. They got close and slowly fall in love with each other but the truth about how it all began is still hidden and can not be undone. Will their love win over the lie? You would have to see the movie to find out.

Greetings. This adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew is notable for having catapulted the then-young Australian actor Heath Ledger to fame; he stood out from the rest of the cast and went on to become a star. It’s a good light-hearted comedy, but Ledger’s charisma and talent — which were evident in the scene where he sings ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ — were already on a different level even back then, and he went on to become a legend following his portrayal of the Joker.
Heath Ledge!!!!!!!!!
