[Movie] Movie Review: Colours Of Fire.

I watched this movie earlier this year, and seeing it again today made me wonder why I haven't written a review on it yet. The movie is titled "Colours Of Fire." A very interesting, lovely, powerful, and, at the same time, romantic movie.

The storyline follows a world that's divided into two, the blue world and the red world. They are both known for their colors, their mastery of them, their magics, and all. Back then, both worlds were together and had a relationship, but then, things happened, and they had to divide. Each being the enemy of the other.

Then, at a time, a mystical creature began to torment those in the blue world. The blues believed it was an attack from the reds, so they sent a skilled warrior to hunt down this supposed mysterious creature. The name of this skilled warrior is Akinbode. As Akinbode entered the kingdom of the reds, things weren't the way they thought. Instead of seeing this creature they do believe is tormenting them, he met Moremi, a very beautiful and gorgeous lady.

At long last, they had something together and became even closer; their relationship opened the eyes of Akinbode and Moremi to see that the hatred between their tribes (Blue and Red tribes) is one built on fear, lies, stories, and all. And that was how their orientation of what was taught to them while growing up about the other tribe began to change. And they began to find ways and do all in their capacity to expose the truth and bring both sides back together.

Seeing the title, I wasn't so interested in it, and when I finally gave it a watch, I'm glad I did. Even though the first few scenes were confusing, I began to understand it more as I watched. It wasn't what I was expecting at all, you know their are some movie titles you and can guess what actually transpired or what the movie was about, this is different. Sooo different.

One thing I love about this movie is the romantic scenes; I loved how they explored it. I'm a lover of romantic movies, and even though they didn't go that deep in it, I still enjoyed the little they did. It didn't feel forced; somehow, it felt so natural. They connected so well; I mean, Akinbode and Moremi did.

I also love the visuals, common they deserve an applause for it. The colors, the graphics, the settings, the costumes, and all—nah, it was just very different. I love how the thought behind it is and how they build their own kind of world with colors.

And the idea behind that movie too was great; it is one that talks on how a group of people can be made to believe a thing and hate on another group of people. A very interesting and well-explored storyline.

Uzor Arukwe acted as Akinbode, and sincerely, he's the best fit for it. He's very well built for the role, he's strong for the role and he's as well sexy enough for the role. I love his confidence and his charisma; what a great actor. And Osas Ighodaro acted as Moremi; OMG, that woman is just the perfect fit. Both Uzor Arukwe and Osas Ighodaro, no doubt, are a perfect match. Also Gabriel Afolayan, what an amazing guy he is! All the actors did greatly well, though.

Now, here's where I have issues. I complimented it earlier because it actually tried, but then it was just too much and too obvious, and that is about the visuals. They made use of AI images and videos in some of the scenes, and you can tell what it is. Like, it was just too obvious and too much for my liking.

Even still, Colors of Fire is a wonderful work. Not a perfect one, though, but it is different, and that difference is what sets it apart.p
