[TV] THE TOMORROW PEOPLE [REVIEW]

This was one of the movies that would have broken the internet if they were given the chance. Especially because it was one of those scifi series that got story, drama, and suspense all in one. I watched it first when it was released in 2013, and I decided to check it out this weekend alongside some other movies. And to be honest, it was worth the watch. It was about the story of humans evolving and developing extraordinary abilities of which the main character was Stephen Jameson. It turned out that in the beginning of Episode 1 Stephen was experiencing strange things like voices in his head and would sleep in his room only to wake up in a different location. At first he thought he was going crazy and if you were watching it for the first time you would think so also because it did not even look like teleportation LOL.

The voice he was hearing then led him to a secret group called the Tomorrow people and after discovering the group he realized that every single person in that group had at least one of the three Ts namely Teleportation, Telepathy, and Telekinesis. After meeting the leaders of the group he discovered that the tomorrow people had an Arc enemy named Ultra, who would do anything and everything to get their hands on them so they could use them for experiments. This also brought about the discovery of another twist when Stephen realized that the founder of The Tomorrow People was his father and the founder of ultra was his Uncle who was his father’s brother. Unfortunately for Stephen his uncle discovered his powers the same time the tomorrow people discovered him which made him work as a double agent for the two groups until he began to uncover certain truths.

His father had disappeared when he was a child and he did it in order to find a safe place for the tomorrow people, meanwhile the world thought he was dead because of the circumstances that surrounded his departure. As Stephen decided to investigate his father’s disappearance he began to uncover secrets about the tomorrow people that made them hunted wherever they went and this made him decide to step into his father’s shoes to continue his father’s work. He began to discover that he is even part of a bigger deal than just the Tomorrow people against Ultra and his father’s disappearance. He also discovered the reason the tomorrow people believed in his father and discovered he had some of those attributes making him the second person to carry the four Ts instead of just three. There are a lot of mysteries to be unveiled for those who have not watched this series and although it is old, it remains one of my very best.
