It’s funny how I was once a DC fan until I started paying attention to marvel. I am not here to debate on who is better between marvel and DC, so you won’t be seeing any of that shit in this post. The Flash however is my number one DC series. I have been spending a bit of time rewatching it again, this would be my third time, and to be honest, I still enjoy every bit of it. In fact The Flash is the only DC series I love among all the DC series I have watched. I guess at the end of the day the Flash made other DC series really stand out especially when they added the crossover episodes. Watching the crossover though made me wonder who would win if DC heroes should ever come face to face with the Avengers. I mean, Superman Vs Thor or Hulk, it would have really been a joy to watch.

But not to fantasize, I am here to just review. The character of the Flash Berry Allen (Grant Gustin) was not just a major character but my favourite DC character in general. The reason is simple. I do not know how DC did it, but the mystery around his story is still one of the biggest in the world of Sci Fi for me. Not the part of Lightning striking him, but the fact that the war began even before his birth. He was already fighting from an unpredictable future point in time. The fact was that his part was already chosen for him before he knew what Science was and if he would ever get the chance to change the future he had to become the future and when he eventually became the future he found out that changing the future would cause more harm than good so he could no longer change the future.

The Story of the flash is a story that talks about the power of love and destiny. rewawtching it from season one reminded me that this series really had an epic start, and if they had kept things simple, it would have been way more better than how it really ended. It is one that changed my idea about what it means to really pursue purpose and that sometimes we must make sacrifices in order to achieve the purpose we desire. Life is full of mysteries and the Flash was one big mystery on its own. It just got boring when they started adding a lot of science that we do not understand. There were a lot of fictions that became impossible to believe and that was what killed the series. I believe that the series could have ended better than it did, and when it finally reached the last season, it became even more boring. But then again I will still advise that people watch at least the first four episodes.

I remember having watched this series, I liked it a lot, but I'm not sure if I ever finished it. It had a few seasons. This superhero series will always be unforgettable, no matter how many years pass. It's worth watching again. I feel like looking for it again and seeing how far I got hehe.
