So, this will be my first time using Scrobble Life's Music feature. I’m not quite sure how it works, otherthan that it involves music, so I’ll make the most of it.
It’s been a while since I properly talked about music. For something with this much power, I think if everyone on earth talked about music for the rest of their lives, we still wouldn’t nearly do it justice.
So today, I want to plug you guys to someone whose music I’ve come to love over the last year. There are three artistes whose music gives me a similar kind of vibe. There were actually four, but I cut the last one, who was my favourite one, off because he so happened to be a psychotic murderer.
Crazy, isn’t it?
Anyway, we’re down to three, and I’ll be sharing the songs of one of them with you today. He’s such an amazing artiste who I believe everyone should give a listen to at least once in their lives. They stand the risk of living their lives unfulfilled, lol, but yeah, since I’m an angel, and quite practically the best thing since sliced bread, I won’t let you miss out on this.
His name is... ## Bryant Barnes
If that name is not familiar to you, them that’s rather sad. I’ll start with the very first song of his I listened to.
If you know me, you’d know that the rhythm and melody of a song would always speak far more to me than lyrics ever can. Not like I don’t care about the lyrics, but the average person would first be interested if the rhythm has the vibe they like before checking how deeply the lyrics resonate with them, and I’m no exception.
I listened to this song, and I didn’t care if the lyrics didn’t relate to anything I had going on at the moment. I just loved how intensely the melody spoke to me. Beautiful stuff. You should definitely give it a listen.
Need I talk about this particular song? Once you get to the chorus, everything flows in like a never-ending river of milk and honey. The funny part about this song is that even though it may not relate to anything you’ve got going on. Even though you may be in a loving, blissful marriage, the song speaks to you because it’s not just about losing someone and being in despair, but the fear of losing that someone.
So, whether you’ve lost someone, or you have someone in your life who you’re scared of losing, this is for you.
I love this song so much, and if you read my review of the animated movie, GOAT, you would know why. I listened to the song way before I watched the movie, and even two hours later, I was still listening to a song that’s not even up to three minutes. That’s a whole lot of times, but I believe it’s totally worth it.
I wanted to hoard this song a bit more, but I may just as well let go of it, since I’d already hinted at it. The harmony of the song never fails to tickle my ears in a wonderful way. One of my most wholesome listens of the year.
Well, that’s about it. Now, that I’ve shared these songs, a niggling thought lingers that they might not be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s fine. Not everyone can resonate with the kind of music that Bryant makes. But they resonate with me, and I’m sharing them now with you. Obviously, I may not like all of his songs, and I only indulge in him sometimes, which is why I’m sharing a bit of the few ones I like. There’s only so much deep a person can listen to at a moment, am I right?
Either way, hope you enjoy!
