In just one sitting, I saw all the four episodes from this season which means it was tightly tensed made and I have no choice than to finish all the four at once. I guess it's both.
Ini Dima Okojie acted as Sarah, who got engaged to Kola, a pharmaceutical heir with the money from the Ademola family. He's charming but hot tempered towards her in the private. She has a best friend named Kemi, and she is the only one who gets to see how she's been treated, and she says that so loud, but Sarah doesn't want her to talk about it even on the day of her own wedding.
On the wedding day, everything went so wrong in a manner that neither of them can undo. And for the rest of the season, the two bear friends stood by each other and were covering up for each other. And the Ademola family, where Kola came from, started throwing a lot of questions they couldn't survive answering after the death of their son.

Kola's mother, Uduak, who was played by Kate Henshaw. She was the one that made this series more lively for me, especially when the plot took over. She runs the family as if it were a company while controlling everything and everyone she can control with a hostile takeover and always a step ahead. Uduak acted so well in a controlled fury manner, like it's the most natural thing in the world. Ramsey Nouah didn't have many scenes to act in, but used so little he got well.
Sarah and Kemi, for me, were the two ladies who carried all the weight of this show if I'm being honest, and what they both shared, experienced, and passed through made their relationship feel lived in rather than something that looks like a plot. Right before the episode one started, I believe this two have shared history which is what mattered, because to me, that was what the the whole season runs on. Both are trying to survive their current life based on what they are both doing to protect that history from people to know, most especially the Ademola family.
I don't see the four episodes like a lot of run time for a story of this size due to everything that happened, from the abusive engagement, to what happened on the wedding day to trying to keep each other's secrets safe, a wealthy family closing rank, and to everything that was waiting underneath all of it. I'll say Blood Sisters season one definitely earns those sprints. Even though there was the powerful family against the two ladies.

When the movie was first released, it started as something limited, but after the widespread release, it is no longer limited. And there's season two already with different plot twists and cast problems. I enjoyed this season one a lot because I'll say it works as a closed story on its own, which did better than a lot of shows but spawned a sequel.
If you are yet to watch this, and you plan to see it this weekend. Just see it with a friend, family member, or loved one because you will definitely enjoy everything that happened from the first episode to the last minute of it last episode. And you can come back here with your review on how you enjoyed it. Happy watching.
