Unwrapping the Memories of 2024

Hello great people of hive, hope you all had an amazing day today.
We have all journeyed through the eleven months of the year, December is just some days ahead and the year is gradually coming to an end. Every single month have brought either good or bad tidings but all the same we sailed through successfully.

Considering the the weekly prompt "In each month, there is usually a highlight, or maybe the month was uneventful. Share with us which of the past months from January till now had the most significant experience for you, whether good or bad, and how it affected you."

Going through each month, I have earned significant experiences most especially January specifically 12th January which was my birthday. over the years I have never felt special on my birthday but my birthday this year was very remarkable, I woke up feeling extremely excited that day unlike other years. My dad was the very first person to wish me a happy birthday, after the morning prayers everyone sang a happy birthday song for me and wished me a happy birthday. I received lots of gifts that day, lots of wishes and I celebrated it in a special way with my family, though the celebration was not so big but it was the first time I ever got to celebrate on my birthday.

Aside January which was my birthday, the other significant month I would never forget was the 15th of February, that was the day I was officially matriculated into the tertiary institution as a medical student. It might not be something significant to some people but to me it was a huge success.

On that day I was so overjoyed not just because of the celebration but because I knew what it took to get admission into Medicine and Surgery. Before I was admitted I had written JAMB before and was not admitted, I felt so sad because my friends and juniors were already in higher institution and I was still struggling to write JAMB .

I felt like God had forgotten me, I felt so sad and I remember that was my major prayer point last year and finally God helped me. I was given admission to study specifically what I had wished for, it was like a dream come true and that is why the matriculation to me was a very special one indeed, It made me hope and yearn for more, it made me believe in consistency, and has taught me how to be patient in getting what I want.

I had another eventful drama that almost truncated my career, On July while we were all writing our second semester examination, I had one of the worst experience, it was our final exams for the semester which was Mathematics, we all sat in the hall anticipating our question papers.

Finally, the question papers were distributed and I started answering the questions I knew better, I was really concentrating with my script that I did not notice that the girl who sat behind me threw an expo to someone else but it landed very close to me.

I was not aware of what was happening I just continued with my exams, some minutes later the invigilator came close to me and he picked the paper on the floor, He asked me to stand which I did, and he asked me who dropped the paper, unknown to me who did it I told the man that I did not know who did it.

The invigilator got upset, he thought I was lying, he brought the malpractice form for me to fill, I started crying , all my prayer was God help me because I was innocent.

While he yelled at me to sign, God helped me and someone spoke up, the girl told the man that I was innocent and she showed the man the person that did it, the guy tried to lie at first but later admitted to it, that was how I was spared, all thanks to God because it would have truncated my dreams and I do not know what would have become of me now.

Oh my, I'm nearly screaming from everything I'm reading. Imagine going through all you went through just to be given malpractice form for something you didn't do. All the highlights you mention feel so relatable because this was mostly how my year was as well. Lots of love to you, @utibeabasi. I hope you have many more reasons to smile!🥰
