Way Of Life Should Be Emulated.

First of all, let's define what Culture means, we know that culture is the way of life of people, yeah, so about how much of this way of life should you pass onto your kids ? Well I would say you should pass on all you can ,not the bad or negative sides of you iof the culture at least , one should pass on the good and positive parts of ones culture to their kids .

Language, way of dressing and some other kind of things that a child should know , even the negative one ,I believe the should know them ,so that they can know how to be careful of it, I think that way they will be very cautious of what they do.

For someone like me who was born away from anything related to my culture, I was born and brought up in Lagos Nigeria, even though my hometown is Akwa Ibom, I remember that I have been to my hometown like maybe four to five times in my life, it's not that I didn't like visiting but because sometimes visiting there requires a lot of money and my parents choose to only go when it was really needed or when there was an occasion of some sort.

In as much I was brought up in a land far away from my culture, my parents never let us forget where we are really from, things like teaching us our language, you know how African parents communicate, especially when they want to send you on errands, they will never tell you that thing in English, it will be communicated in your language, my mom always says one thing, she said that sometimes being able to speak and understand your language is a good thing cause you don't know where you might actually need it.

Sometimes two years ago , I got a good pay for a job that required me to interpret from my language to English for a voice over that someone did and I was paid good money for just interpreting something not up to 5 minutes , see had it been I wasn't taught the language I wouldn't have been able to get that job offer that paid well.
So let's just say the culture of someone should be taught to their children because they never know where they will get to and they might need it like really need in even if it is once in their life. So I believe the way of life of the parents to be passed on to the children because one doesnt knows where they will need it .

I have seen many instances where the culture of people really do come through for them, especially those who go into politics, without knowing the culture of a particular people you might not be able to win them over ,thats why some politicians hire those who are cultured to be behind them form their campaign and all.
Aside from this I believe it is okay to know about ones culture , that way it will be easy to share it down onto your own kids.
