That's a very good question tbh. It's one of the numerous things that steams the imbalance in acknowledging a man's success and merely glancing at a woman's.
When people think of the fact that men are generally the sole providers in a family, a woman's success then holds little to no value in their view.
I believe this happens because large number of women out there are least concerned with significantly aiding their husbands, despite being in a position to, and that also points to their stinginess.
Of course not all, cause when I look at my mum, I'm looking at the breadwinner of my family. Grins.
And the society??? There surely has to be in shift in the way females are perceived. All these labels as mere help mate, weaker sex, baby-making machines... Though painfully true are equally belittling. It just paves way to all this. And more 😳
Point blank! It's just sad that people don't try to pull the factors behind this particular pattern. But I hope something changes in the future.
