PEEVE IN HUMAN FORM

Thank you hivenaija for this topic, I used to hate friends that reduce or ridicule their fellow friend but now my hatred has increased over 💯. I used to have a roommate and she graduated and I was staying alone until my residence caught fire and we were all asked to move out from the apartment, now I am staying with one of my childhood friend, actually I know her when I was attending extra moral class during my WAEC days. No I think I knew her from the days when she dated my eldest brother although we were not best of friends then, it was just a hi hello relationship I had with her.

I later found out we are going into the university to study the same course and in the same university we were glad as per we are friends and we planned on staying together in the university. When we went to write post UTME (entrance examination into the university) we stayed with a family friend and after that day we came back home to wait for our admission. After some months of being in the school I noticed she was telling everyone that cared to listen that my family friend is her elder sister and when I confronted her she just said she like her as an elder sister therefore she is her elder sister. I just let it slide like it is a normal thing and it is their business, later this same lady (our family friend) called me and said no matter what happens between us I should tolerate her since we have known way back.

As if that was not enough, I noticed the friends we had together all stopped talking to me as before and were at her beck and call I did not really read any meaning to it because I'm not the outdoorsy type and I don't visit people so ....... Not until I heard all what she said, I confronted her and she said "I said it so beat me" I was devastated. Her parents are well to do in fact my parents too were well to do, the only difference is her parents own a house and mine doesn't so there were rumors within our friend group that I came from a poor background, a lot of things being said I just let it all slide. My roommate best beauty told me this girl hates me gut I still didn't see it that way.

Something happened today, I have been down and we are three in this room, I noticed that the bathroom is dirty and so I managed to wash the bathroom this morning and didn't wash the sink when she woke up she complained I didn't wash the bathroom well and I told I did and I was so sure. she said I did not wash the bathroom well because I didn't wash the sink and threatened that by the time she's back I should make sure I have re-washed the bathroom again. I was perplexed, 🤔 what brought about such audacity I don't understand and I told her to do her worst. When she came back from class she insulted my life and asked me to pack out of her house and she kept on repeating the phrase" my Dad paid for the house o" I was so embarrassed this morning and she sent me a lengthy message. I didn't even utter a single word and she said my silence is an affirmation. With the way I felt today I'm sure if I had opened my mouth I would have been behind bars by now.
In all make sure to have friends that will elevate you instead of bring you down in life
Now I know why many people say they prefer the friendship of the opposite gender.
