Hello everyone!
When I come across this prompt it makes me remember my childhood days back then.
As defined by google
Myths are traditional stories that are passed down through generations of children to their cultural and religious beliefs.
Myths also play an important role in children's life while growing up. As we all know, children are kind of stubborn and intelligent. While some like to do what their parents tell them not to do.
The funniest part the myths make sense to us when we are small we and we believe them so much in them till we come of age. Some were stupid, jokes have and no impact while some are to caution and to make us be on our best behaviour.
I believe our parents tell us these myths in order to protect us in some way.
To tell the truth I believed these myths as well back then, but while growing up I realised that they're not true.
The myths I believe
I) My friends told me that if my teeth are removed that I should throw it to the roof of any building or I should put it under my pillow when I want to sleep so that God will send his angel to pick it up in order to germinate another one.
I believe this so when my tooth is removed I throw it on the roof or I put it under my pillow when I want to sleep, waking up the next day with the belief that God has sent his angel to pick my teeth, I will not find my teeth under the pillow Again.
ii) Here is another myth I believed back then: if I use my leg to hit something on the road, if I use the right leg that means something good will happen to me. And if I use the left leg to hit that means something bad will happen to me .
I believe these myths whenever I use my left leg to hit something like this I always feel scared of what will happen to me lol.
iii) A pregnant woman must not allow short and ugly person to cross her legs because if that happened, she might give birth to that short and ugly person. How true can this be? I doubt and believe it is just one of the lies we were told to make sure that we don't just let anyone walk over us.
iv) whenever am drinking orange I was told not to swallow the seed of the orange because if I do so the orange seed will grow inside me.
Since then I am always careful when am drinking orange because I do not want a whole tree to grow in my stomach. 🍊
There are few myths I could remember it took me some years to understood that all these were just lie and never meant anything but most are just to make us behave well and not act rashly.

I could relate to the myth about the orange seed growing inside you if you should swallow it 😂🤣... I swallowed an Odara seed when I was younger and boy! I cried for days, drank so much water just to throw up so a plant won't shoot out my throat. It was a crazy experience🤣😂.
Well said, some myths are there to ground us.
Loll
Anyways welcome to the real world my dear
I can relate to almost all of the myths you mentioned here, life of a kid😁
I can relate to all of the myths you mentioned. The last part about the orange seed tormented me a lot in my childhood. But mine cut across all fruit seeds. I was so relieved when I found out it wasn't true. But I decided to torment the younger ones with it.
Thanks for sharing @omotife
