Happy good Friday my naija peeps
Indeed, it's a day of total reflection about the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. It's been 6 hours of good Friday activities in my church where the youth have been acting drama showing the journey of Jesus and his suffering until he finally died on the cross.
While on this journey since morning, I saw some persons crying passionately seeing how the guy that acted Jesus was being tormented ...that's a heart breaking down from these persons crying but then, are we really living our lives to show that his death isn't just symbolic?
Well,I don't think so for many people. A lot of us christians do it as ceremonial but not really allowing the sacrifice in the cross to hv positive impact in our lives,if not why does evil keep prevailing ? Brothers fighting each other, kilimgs, friends betraying each other ,cheating of all kinds and more...
I really hope that we humbly reflect genuinely and let the purpose of the death of Jesus make difference in our lives by striving to live an upright life at all times
That's just it... A lot are just observing it for ceremonial sake and not to live our lives

So many are just passers by in todays chriatian living. They believe that theirs no time to live sincerely reminiscenting the death and resurrection of chriat in their daily living.

This comment struck me because it highlights the exact questions I often ask about religious holidays. Clearly, we can see that we no longer take our lessons from these days and we also do not implement Christ's teachings in our lives. How then do we expect to be better humans, as Christians? I'm glad your church still upholds the tradition of reminding the congregation of Christ's sufferings. Hopefully, some will have their hearts turned back to God and goodwill. Implementing the teachings is almost a bygone and it's sad...daily we crucify Jesus again via our actions...I really hope we can live as pple that was paid such a huge price for on the cross
