RE: Sam’s Hangout #98 - “CHILDREN AS CONTENT”

Now, what do I have to say? 🤔

I believe this is something a lot of content creators do now, and it's obvious all in the name of engagements and the likes, people will always react to thing's involving children, either to talk to their parents or whatever.

Let's take the case of, erm this guy for instance, m sorry I don't remember his name, he's a dwarf though(I mean no insult) he and his wife at a time were using their kid for content's and all, and people won't stop talking, even though most of it were insults, at least their aim was achieved—engagements.

Personally, I'm grateful for the childhood I had, not the camera and ring light type, I was able to do my childhood and peace. And that allows me to make my mistake and all privately without any of it getting on the camera. A lot of kids today don't have that privilege, they are at a time when they dont know right from left, still their parents keeps on setting camera for them, recording their childhood, first word, and a whole lot more, leaving them to be judged by hose who do not know them. And these people won't stop voicing out their own opinion, either judgemental, abusive and all.

These kids do not know anything, all these criticisms, insults and all, they are not old enough to understand it. Stuffs like this should be done with consent, but then who are they to even know what consent is, a lotnof parents today are guilty of these, using their child to do content, and when they see that such gains good engagement, they repeat it again.

I believe anything of that sort is not done with the good of that chil in mind, reason is cos it is all for the money, they never thought about protecting their child interests and all. All these things are temporary, and one thing the Internet never does is that, it never forgets, so when such a child who has been insulted snd used to gather engagement later grow up in future and see all of this, what effects will it have on them....

We should allow them to really enjoy childhood without much of the spotlight, and even if they will be used for content, it should be responsible ones and also be limited.
