Bleeding Nation, Broken Hearts.

At the moment, my heart is heavy. I just wish I could, I don't know...Nigeria just seems to be getting worse as the days go by. A new day with it's own problem and bad news, no safe space for anyone anymore. We've even forgotten that the price of fuel has gone up and that the economy is not stable, because what we are facing is way more worse than that.

The issue of insecurity in this nation is nothing to write home about, and I've promised myself to not keep quiet about it, even though I don't have a big platform or a loud voice, I won't stop talking about it till there's a change and citizens can live without fear of being k!dnapped or k!lled.

Few hours ago, there's an incident in Jos, Pleauteu State Nigeria. Lot's of people lost their lives, and a lot were injured too, now you will ask me what our so called master strategist president was doing, he's busy campaigning for the next presidential election and doing all his possible best to win every governor to his political party. Some days ago, an explosion happened in two different strategic and crowd filled area in Maiduguri, Borno state, which also claimed the lives of a lot of people. And these are not just news, this are real happenings, people are getting k!lled, k!dnapped and a lot for home and families are left to cry their eyes out.

The IDP camps that was built for people that were displaced and had to leave their homes due to insecurity issues was few days ago visited by this terrorist, the destroyed and still took people away from the IDP camp, a place that was meant to be safe, to be a home away from home for them. My state, Kwara State is known to be a state of peace and harmony, one fo the quietest and safest state in Nigeria, but check the news and statistics today, it has become one of the most terrorized state in the lady few months.

And here comes the question, are we getting used it? We are known to be the type who can adapt to anything, are we adapting to insecurity too? Are we seeing the issue of insecurity as normal?

I was telling a friend recently about the situation of the country and how he has a bigger platform and he can address it and at least lend his voice to the happenings and all we are facing, but according to him, he can't, he's scared. You're scared of the government when the nation itself is not safe, when anything can happen anywhere at anytime and you don't even know if it will be you or someone close to you. And it's funny, because who can you be scared of the government, you're only calling them to do what they are supposed to do, their primary assignment is to safeguard the lives and properties of their citizens, but we are obviously losing our lives.

Just few days ago, I got to know that a friend of mine has lost his live, not from accident or anything, but from this ev!l deeds being committed by this terror!st. And it left me sad, amd I can't help but ask myself, who's next? Who actually is safe in this country? Because to be honest, nobody is...

I want to urge us all to no keep quiet, keeping quiet won't do us any good. Speak up, don't keep shut. Things are getting out of hand, and our leaders obviously are less concerned, more like they don't even regard us or see us as humans. And we are, we are humans, why should we be afraid to travel, why should we be scared in our own homes, why why why? I hope we know that those that d!ed are someone's brother, sister, friend and parent. And those that it will still happen to tomorrow are still related to some people as well. And the funniest part is, we don't know what may happen or whose turn it may be tomorrow.

It's time we stop acting a dog everything is fine, because nothing is fine at the moment. Our leaders can do better, being safe is our right, and if it's too hard for them too, then shey should step down. We have a voice, let's come together and use it, let's speak up and call our leaders out to do the right thing. Let's stop accepting this things as they come, it's high time we unite as one and speak as such. Because nobody deserves to live with the fear of, "won't I be the victim of tomorrow."
