If I Were President---Fixing the Foundations of the Broken Nigeria Promise

They usually say power and position usually corrupt people, but this is a big lie in a way that those people who upon having power and position have already been corrupted just that those two things brought out their true identity.

Anyways, if I were to become the president of my country someday, it will not be about showcasing power, flaunting the presidential house, cars or the noisy parade. As for me, it is surely going to be about calming the sea and walking into the superstorm with an umbrella meant for the people.

If I were elected the president of Nigeria today, I would commence by giving a policy dramatics and a imposing speeches. I would start from where it is so much affecting the masses poverty and power, the two powerful tools that has been used to hold people captive over the years.

The number one struggle I will tackle is:

I would address the issue of democratic, federal and government power crises

As we all that electricity in Nigeria has now become a luxury that only the powerful enjoy. Electricity is our fundamental human right but it has been taken away from us and it is more or less a wish than a right. For days, months and years, we have wallowed in darkness and a lot of business are struggling, and companies are beginning to fold up due to lact of constant electricity. Instead of the students to enjoy light to do their homework, they burn candle sticks instead and a lot of hospitals find it very hard to generate electric power to their life saving machines. Becoming the president, I would make sure and push for a nationwide solar structures—a renewable energy supply that will be accessible to all urban and rural areas because if you ask me, I will tell you that power is more than light, it is life, nobility and chance.

The second struggle will be:

I will tackle the issue of poverty not with a levity hand but with a strategic plan

As some people usually say that Nigeria is part of the headquarters of poverty and this is so because the leaders are using it as a instrument to control the masses. Like the former president said that "Nigerian youths are lazy', no we are not lazy, infact we are brilliant, hardworking, resilient, smart a d resourceful. But what blindfold is is that the current system of government is against honesty but it is in support of corruption. Now you can get punished for saying the truth but will the celebrated and honoured for being corrupt. Becoming the president will make me eradicate any form of corruption by establishing and equipping grassroots empowerment initiatives, agricultural allocations, vocational skills acquisition centers, small returns business loans and functioning youth empowerment schemes. But not just grants or charity, genuine capital building. And equipping people with adequate equipments.

Past all rules, I will work my ass out in making sure that there is a a decent level of behaviorism In the governance and amongst the government officials because most of these leaders are not being held accountable for Thier actions in office because they now see leadership to be royalty. I will make sure I interact with the masses, market women, young ones by visiting differs schools and work place unannounced, not for social media, but to know the minds of the nation.

I will definitely be pushing for a cultural transformation and address the government that been a leader is not about being superior but it is a service to humanity. The actual power is in how well the people you are a leader over sleep at night and not how you flaunt your power, cars and noisy sirens.

If I were to be the president of this country, my focus will also shift to foundation concerns that has left my people's hope smashed, because how will the people of a country raise when the people are in constant fear, hunger, and darkness?
A nation can only raise when the people are secured, protected, lives under stable light, and have enough to eat.

At this moment in my country, the country needs a total healing and to me, a true and real leader main priority should be about healing the country.

And if I were the president, like I stated at the beginning of this post, I will start right from the people and not from the top.
