"Eventually, the young broke man would have to leave home to go hunting. If he kills the elephant, his poverty ends. If the elephant kills him, his poverty still ends. One must happen either way."
_ Pete Edochie.
I came across this quote sometime this week, and it's been on my mind ever since. Eventually, we'd have to leave our comfort zone and take that risk that would determine the course of our lives. If it works out, our lives would change for the better. And if it doesn't, things may just end up worse. But we won't be able to put it off forever. Whether we like it or not, we'd take that risk.
So, my advise? Take the risk on your own terms, don't wait for life to force you. Because when life carry your matter for head, it never really ends well.
Thanks for inviting me, @samostically π€

Oh wow! This one hits o. Thanks for sharing your quote o. This one is food for thought o
Itβs deep!
Hehe... confam food for thought!
Beautiful! You are right. Sometimes, life is all about testing the water first to see if it is cold or hot. At least, you have to try first. It is better than not trying at all and one would regret that.
You never go wrong when you try. You only learn. I have heard that somewhere before.
Very true what youβve said, mama.
No doubt. Something must be done. β .
Yeah... when you try, you'll know what it's all about and what you need to do. Even if you fail, you have a better chance when you try again. But not trying at all, leaves you simply assuming the worst. And nothing gets done. That's the perfect guarantee for failure.
Elephant don dey kill my forefathers since.... E don dey reach my turn that elephant must die and the poverty must end.... Make I buy gun first

Words! I read this somewhere too and I had to ponder about it to the extent that my mind got so light and I felt the urge to do something I have been longing for.
The risk will be there if we take it sooner or later. Just that the repercussions for doing it late will be so heavy on us. So why not do it
Exactly, the risk doesn't disappear just because we wish it to. So we have to be intentional about it. Not taking the risk is itself a major risk.

This quote seems like a two edged sword to me, what if the risk is what makes life carry your matter for head
Omo... then we'd take it to the gods of the land for answers ooo.
I learnt that in this life it's more riskier not to take a risk in the first place...that quote might look very light but there's lot of wisdom hidden in it
Exactly!!! Calls for a lot of introspection.

I've heard this quote countless times. It's a quote that everyone should really take time to meditate on.
Most times whenever I'm feeling discouraged about life, when I think about this quote morale comes from nowhere and I'm good to go face any challenge that comes my way.
Challenges they say is are food for champions.
Yeah... the more challenges you face and conquer, the stronger you get. That's how growth happens. You're doing well.
