Nursery rhymes huh?
The famous amongst them would be the twinkle twinkle little star rhyme and every sings it but as famous as it may, but itβs not my favorite nursery rhyme. My favorite nursery rhyme would be
Row row row your boat gently down the stream
Merrily merrily merrily life is both a dream
And we would shout again
And we sing it again and again. As kids we were living a dream and but now we are adults. We have been introduced into the adult hood scam. I wished we could live that dream again.
Nkem mentioned nusery rhyme that she sings to children. My children nursery rhyme is in Igbo language and I donβt know if anyone here would be able to read it if I write it in Igbo language. Somehow I feel children listen more to those igbotic rhymes than the English ones.
