I am super glad that we're able to talk on this topic even though this is not the very first time we will actually talk about it and there has still been no changes but I AFRIKEN ooo I won't shut up either I'm reasoned with or not.
The fact is that I am annoyed about this whole thing and yes I'll allow my emotions write with me in this. With the kind of society we have groomed for ourselves (cos we are the society and it becomes whatever we want it to become), we are stylishly killing the male gender with so much pressure and expectations.
When a guy is not rich and struggling to survive, we call it hustling but when a lady does same thing, we are referred to as an independent woman. That is not even where I'm going.
If you carry a patched bag but decide to call it a MK designer bag, people call it same thing with you. "Bi onigba ba SE PE igba e niwon se ma ba pe". That is, if the make gender refuse to break this stigma of HE IS A MAN, HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THAT COD WHY IS HE A MAN IF HE CANT, HE IS STRONG SO HES NOT ALLOWED TO BREAK DOWN, NO! HE SHOULDNT BE COMPLAINING IS HE NOT A MAN? HES TALKING TOO MUCH INSTEAD OF ACTING UP..... They will continue to be suppressed by those despicable expectations of the society and that is why I love the second part of the question
Should men take more responsibility for breaking the stigma
YES! THEY SHOULD cos if they don't then it stays there for coming generations to inherit. But the sad news about it that they wouldn't wanna agree to in breaking this stigma of expectations is the EGO
Some of them want the pride that comes with the strongness while some finds it hard to break that barrier of speaking up and been seen or viewed as a woman.
MEN are trying so hard but speaking up? 😔 And it's killing that gender so much. You can make your findings about the rate of men that dies

You have spoken well, dear.
But some men sometimes too do. Should we say that the expectations that people put in them have made them grow up with the thought that a woman's place is in the kitchen? I'm not trying to divert the topic. But this comment mostly comes from men.
If they want to be free from society pressure, I believe they should work on their mindset too.
It has happened to me countless times. One particular incident that I remembered very well. This guy and I were on a talking stage getting to know each other. I talked about my profession, my skills and my plans.
Then he made that one statement. "All these one wey you dey talk na for kitchen e go still end."
Like seriously 😒 I had to start explaining how I stressed myself every semester in school because I want to come out with good grades and make my family proud, and because you feel you're the head, I should keep my license for your kitchen in the 21st century.
And there are more relationships out there that didn't end well because a man couldn't afford to maintain the lifestyle of her partner.
In summary, all I'm trying to say is that society has done a lot of damage because this tradition of man acting all tough didn't start today.
And I believe it's high time it stops, and if men feel they need to be heard, then they should also help themselves.
That's the head point Zali. They need to help themselves by eradicating the expectations created for them and the ones they also created cos a man with no ego of succumbing to society expectations will not think a woman should end her career in kitchen unless it's her decision.
Without actions, society and their mindsets continues to treat them the same way
