For me, I believe gifts should come from free will and not being forced or out of pressure but when it turns out to be out of pressure or eye service then it's no longer a gift anymore.
My gifts might be a simple call or text to someone I haven't reached out to in a while.. It might be a token to someone I know is in need if I have the privilege,it might be sharing our of the food I have cooked for the festive and many more.. Like I said gifts should come from the hearts and not to count scores, putting oneself under some unnecessary pressure..
One of the most impactful small act of kindness I have witnessed was a woman been harassed by the transporters because she doesn't have up to the amount she was supposed to board the bus for but instead of allowing the woman be dragged out by these kogberegbe conductors, a guy stood in and paid for her and the woman almost knelt for him. One could have realized from her act that she had nothing else on her and would have turned a corporate begger that night to get home.
@marsdave @goldenproject @van.illa @ozd @daverick @treasuree @chefqueen @mikechrist Are you guys here already?
You nailed it....when it's been forced or one is been pressured too, then it's obviously not from the heart....
Wow, we still have very good and kind people in our world. May God bless him wherever he is...
I've witnessed such before as well, and it was one that really surprised me. The person who paid for this lady was a young lady selling gala and drinks. I was like, omo.....with all this sun and stress that you've passed through to make sales, you have out #500 like that...
I would have love to pay for her though, but that day, all I had on me was the money I would be paying the conductor as well.
There are still people with heart of kindness so it's like that sometimes..
The one I mostly do fall into is standing up for someone who is boarding standing and I see is a pregnant woman or elderly

Yesooo no matter what, we shouldn't allow ourselves to be pressured while doing any kind of good.
Because such doesn't really attracts blessings as we are told. But when we cheerfully do our good, the blessings thereof are great.
I've witnessed a lot of people paying and relieving people of transportation fares especially in my place of living.
Some miscreants even take it as a norm that they would board a bus and would start networking as they term it for someone to pay for them.
While it is annoying, I've also seen some people that are really stranded who also got help from other passengers.
Every good done by us in any little way has its reward.
While Christmas reminds us to show love and exchange gifts as it is in the case of the three wise men to Christ, we should emulate those givers with cheerful hearts and also strive to be such ones that impact lives wherever we found ourselves.
Thank you

God bless you! As simple as that
Even the small kindness we show and doesn't count to be something looks huge in the eyes of the receiver. Only if we had knew how they felt
And you see those people who turned it to be a norm, they've actually made it difficult for people to render help to those who really needs the help

You made a valid point here , Kenny.
Thanks Vanilla
Yes, that's true. Gifts or giving as a whole should be something you do willingly not coerced in some way because at the end you, you're supposed to feel happy about it not the other way after giving.
I'll take the food gift Kenny. Please tell me where to meet and collect my gift of food.π
Yes ooo Dave, not giving finish and you start thinking "if I had known"
Meet me at Zambisa forest π

Being harassed is one of the most awful things to experience. But I'm super glad someone came to the lady's aid.
Yeah actually. He was a savior
