Undergraduate days are one of the most trying periods of our lives, and that's because of some of the challenges we faced as students and intending adults who are going through a pre-adulthood phase that's meant to prepare us for adulthood. One of the biggest challenges I faced during my university undergraduate days was hunger. The surprising thing about the situation is that I didn't just experience this once. So today I'd love to share more of the hunger experience I had during my university days and how it turns out.

The most devastating hunger experience I had during my undergraduate days led to a far more dangerous turn-out for me, but thankfully I came out of it safely. So how did it go? Well, it was during my hundred-level days before I found the job of working with caterers in the university. That particular day I was super hungry because I hadn't eaten anything the previous day. I had called my parents, but it seems they were going through as much of a tight situation at that moment, so when it was the next day and I couldn't see anything to eat. I had to resolve to a place I had vowed never to go when I'm in need. I'm sure you'll be wondering why.
Well, the thing is that the place I vow not to go whenever I'm in need is the house of my fellow undergraduate. It's not like they're into fraud; in fact, they have a noble job, which is fashion designer, that helps them survive without depending on their parents solely. But the problem is that they usually don't help anyone by giving them cash, if at all you need help from them, the only thing they'll give you is food, but to me that food is poisonous to me, I'm sure you'll ask why, the reason because they usually laser their food with weed, and since I found out, I vow never to eat with them, because I'm not into such things.
However and unfortunately for me, on that faithful day, I had no where to run to again for help, so I had no choice but to go to them, and on that faithful day they cooked beans, which I asked if they had laced it with weed, but they said no, and I went on to eat from what was given to me, but not long after I ate the food that quench my hunger, I felt relieved, overjoyed and much more, but things went south when I began to feel dizzy, I thought it was a simple tiredness, so I went home to sleep, but what happened next surprised not just me, but my roommate and our entire hostel.

What happened was that after going home to sleep around two PM, I didn't wake up again until the following day evening around 5pm or so, meaning I had slept for over 24 hours, my roommate and the entire hostel were so scared that I'm probably dead or about to die with the way they were trying to wake me up, but nothing positive happened as they did. Thankfully I work up the following day, and I get to learn the painful reality of what a single hunger led me to. Hunger can be dangerous; it has led people to doing things they might never have done in the past, like stealing and the likes.
